If you are looking for a well maintained campsite with stunning views of the countryside from your pitch, where you can relax with family, friends and your dog, a wonderful pub next door and friendly, approachable and helpful owners then you have found the right place.

At Street Head Caravan Park we have pitches for privately owned static caravans, seasonal and touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and everything in between.

We endeavour to ensure all areas of our park are clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard.

We were so happy to open our new facilities block in Spring 2021. Except for the laundry, which is near the cottage, all shared facilities are in a new block between the touring and camping fields.

Our on-site facilities include:

Shower Block

We have separate rooms for gents and ladies. The new shower cubicles are spacious and have a drying area with seat to make changing easier. As well as toilets and wash basins, you will find soap, sanitiser, hand dryers, hair dryers and large mirrors provided for your convenience.

Washing-up Room

Our indoor washing up room has 3 sinks, washing up liquid is provided so you don't need to remember it and to make the job a little more pleasant, the large windows offer views across Bishopdale. Here you will also find our Tourist Information area, a fridge and freezer, books and some activities such and jigsaws, playing cards, colouring books and crayons to use during your stay.

Laundry Room

Should you need to do any washing during your stay, a washing machine and dryer are available for your use as well as an iron and ironing board.

Bins and Recycling

Large commercial bins can be found in both the touring field and near the cottage in the upper static field, please only put bagged general waste and dog waste in these bins.

Bought some new equipment for your caravan or tent and can't take the obsolete cardboard boxes home? Well you don't need to, we will recycle these for you, please flatten and slide beside the commercial bins near the cottage.

Grey and Chemical Waste

We have disposal points for both grey and chemical waste close to the toilet and shower block. Please use this area only for disposal of liquids.

Electric Hook Up

All pitches in the main touring field and most pitches in the camping field are available with electric hook up (10 amp).

Arrival and Departure Times

You are welcome to arrive any time after 1.30pm

Departure is before 12 noon

Pets

We welcome pets to our site and have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful breeds over the years, please do not be offended if we remember your pet's name and not yours. While most pets visiting are dogs, we ask that all are under control and taken off site for toileting and cleaned up after immediately (extra bags are available at reception if you run out). We ask that dogs be on a lead at all times while on site. Please take care when walking in the local area, especially when passing through fields with farm animals.

Noise

We try to run a happy campsite where everyone can enjoy themselves. Please help us by playing music at a level you can enjoy but will not disturb your neighbours. Quiet time is between 10.30pm and 8am and during these hours we ask for no unavoidable noise.

Lovely campsite

I stayed here with my partner and Granddaughter (she only stayed 1 night). We had a large tent with EHU. The toilet block was lovely and clean with soap and hair dryer. The showers were quite large and hot. The toilet block looked new. The washing up facilities were also spotless with washing up liquid, books to borrow and local information. The views are stunning and the site was quiet and well tended. Only met the warden briefly but she seems a lovely lady.No other amenities (although there is a pub at the front gate) but that just how we like it, will definitely be back soon.

Highly recommend this camp site. Very large pitches for both caravans and tents. Immaculate toilets and showers and a very good area to wash pots with a communal fridge and freezer. The camp site is close to lots of different little villages such as leyburn and hawes and close to aysgarth falls which is in walking distance from the campsite and is a great day out. The pub that is located on the campsite also does beautiful food would highly recommend trying the food there when you stay.

The site is well situated in the Yorkshire dales , not far from Aysgarth falls and lots of lovely villages. There is also a pub next door for drinks and good food .The site has lovely clean toilets and showers and is well maintained .One thing missing in the shower was somewhere to put your soap and flannel ,a little shelf perhaps?The owners were friendly and helpful.Our only complaint was that when we arrived the sign wasn’t clear so we missed the entrance and had to turn around at the pub - not easy with a big caravan !Also the entrance was partially blocked by a car and pickup leaving a very small gap to squeeze through . Once we were pitched up though we were very happy and spent 6 nights there.We found it well situated for exploring the surrounding area. There are lots of walks from the site and plenty of places of interest within a short drive.

This is our second year at streethead : British hang gliding open series round 1Brilliant site and facilities super hosts Nothing to much trouble for the lovely mel.We take up most of the non seasonal pitches on site for 7/9 nights good value Caravans , campers ,motor homes ,tents large n small .Great atmosphere on site very chilled beautiful views Lots of varied walks from site ,in most directionsEating out your spoilt for choice although book a tableStreethead inn next door to site super food and service George n dragon aysgarth they have theme evenings every weekFox and hounds west burton great pizzasIce cream barn on the left on the a684 to hawesIt’s fair to say il be calling in on mel n mark for a coffee and to arrange next years dates Regards Jon ,sites organiser for the “British open series hang gliding “comps panel

Ok for a night passing through

Very friendly welcome from staff who was lovely. Unfortunately you can't really see the beautiful hills around you . No privacy very close to neighbours and no communal area to sit etc. Main reason for poor review was the showers were cold - both the evening and the next morning. Personally ruined my stay. I'd rather just pay extra and have a warm shower! Pub next door v.friendly welcome for a drink/food.

We are just nicely back from a wonderful week long stay at Streethead with a group of friends - based at Streethead for a hang gliding competition - and couldn't have wished for a better location. We visited:Whetherfell, HawesAppleby HorsefairTailbridge HillRavenseat Farm and had afternoon tea witj the Yorkshire Shepherdess Tan Hill pubCarlton BankWainwath waterMel and her husband really looked after us and especially helped us out by loaning equipment and delivering our Amazon parcels to the caravan, thank you.The facilities are really impressive and extremely clean with lots of hot water.
