Street Head Caravan Park, North Yorkshire, England

At Street Head Caravan Park we have pitches for privately owned static caravans, seasonal and touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents and everything in between.

We endeavour to ensure all areas of our park are clean, tidy and maintained to a high standard.

We were so happy to open our new facilities block in Spring 2021. Except for the laundry, which is near the cottage, all shared facilities are in a new block between the touring and camping fields.

Our on-site facilities include:

Shower Block

We have separate rooms for gents and ladies. The new shower cubicles are spacious and have a drying area with seat to make changing easier. As well as toilets and wash basins, you will find soap, sanitiser, hand dryers, hair dryers and large mirrors provided for your convenience.

Washing-up Room

Our indoor washing up room has 3 sinks, washing up liquid is provided so you don't need to remember it and to make the job a little more pleasant, the large windows offer views across Bishopdale. Here you will also find our Tourist Information area, a fridge and freezer, books and some activities such and jigsaws, playing cards, colouring books and crayons to use during your stay.

Laundry Room

Should you need to do any washing during your stay, a washing machine and dryer are available for your use as well as an iron and ironing board.

Bins and Recycling

Large commercial bins can be found in both the touring field and near the cottage in the upper static field, please only put bagged general waste and dog waste in these bins.

Bought some new equipment for your caravan or tent and can't take the obsolete cardboard boxes home? Well you don't need to, we will recycle these for you, please flatten and slide beside the commercial bins near the cottage.

Grey and Chemical Waste

We have disposal points for both grey and chemical waste close to the toilet and shower block. Please use this area only for disposal of liquids.

Electric Hook Up

All pitches in the main touring field and most pitches in the camping field are available with electric hook up (10 amp).

Arrival and Departure Times

You are welcome to arrive any time after 1.30pm

Departure is before 12 noon

Pets

We welcome pets to our site and have had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful breeds over the years, please do not be offended if we remember your pet's name and not yours. While most pets visiting are dogs, we ask that all are under control and taken off site for toileting and cleaned up after immediately (extra bags are available at reception if you run out). We ask that dogs be on a lead at all times while on site. Please take care when walking in the local area, especially when passing through fields with farm animals.

Noise

We try to run a happy campsite where everyone can enjoy themselves. Please help us by playing music at a level you can enjoy but will not disturb your neighbours. Quiet time is between 10.30pm and 8am and during these hours we ask for no unavoidable noise.

Lovely little sight. We had a lovely welcome and the owner popped down to check we were on and had everything we needed. Toilets were really clean and the showers were hot and powerful. The washing up facilities were also great. The walk down to the toilets (not far) but very dark so a torch was needed. The pitch was hard standing and electric hook up was all super easy to reach. We didn’t try the pub that is right next door but it looked lovely. The scenery was also beautiful and we woke up in a cloud, which was quite fun. A good stay. Thank you.

Beautiful setting in the dales enjoyed walks to Aysgarth Falls and West Burton on our short stay. Basic pitches but new shower/toilet block and friendly helpful owners with a lovely pub next door.

Considering we have now been 4 times in a short time frame tells you we love this place and area. Our 1st Impression was how lucky to find a site with clean toilet/shower facilities pub down the road and friendly owners. We have a tent and the pitches are spacious to have your car parked there too. Our 2nd visit we decided to do electric as hardly a signal for mobiles. Price of pitch is good compared to other sites. We like to walk, so Ayesgarth falls is a nice walk and so too is West Burton nice pub there . Also recommend Ingleton Falls. Although we couldn't get into street head pub for food as it fills up probably from the static residents, recommend booking, we still managed a few drinks there.You have great views from site and if the sky is just right omg the stars I purchased a better pair of binoculars to star gaze but you can see alot with the naked eye. No light pollution.I shouldn't recommend this place really as I don't want to be turned away..... I found my little have

We stayed here in may and fell in love with this site and local area, the site is very well maintained and has a lovely atmosphere. We loved sitting out with a fire on an evening. It’s a fab starting point for many local walks and attractions, and the street head inn is the best finishing point you could ask for, the food is amazing (book early to avoid disappointment). my 1 and only area for improvement is the shower area, there is no heating in the showers which was fine in may not so much in October, also the water pressure is very high and can make showering uncomfortable, but won’t stop me visiting again.

After having to cancel in July due to contacting covid found the owners really helpful in reorganising new dates. They gave us a choice of deposit or full payment and included in that our previous deposit. The site is on a slope but each pitch is very level and firm with Hardstanding. Very clean site and the amenities were very clean and tidy. Not much to do on site but as we were using it as a base to travel out each day to different place it was ideal. There are some lovely walks and villages right by the site. If you have a tent there were some really big pitches in the lower section of the site. Having a Pub that served food right next door to the site is a real bonus. A B road runs right next to the site but in our time there in late Sept 2022 very little if any noise at night. A great site for exploring North Yorkshire National Park. Lovely views of the fells and surrounding countryside. Would book againJames Dixon

Our first trip in a camper was to the great Yorkshire Dales, and what better place to stay, than Steethead Caravan Park.A warm welcome and great facilities in a great location.The toilet block looks like new, and the pitches were well maintained and level.
