Probably better in season

Ealey, Alison - 02/11/2025

The campsite was clean enough and well situated but it was effectively closed for the season . Although I had read that the tea room might be only open on weekends ( we stayed mon to Wednesday) I don’t think it was really clear that absolutely nothing would be open on site except the toilets . It felt like we could have rocked up and camped without paying . Only we didn’t we pail FULLL price and had to search for contact details when we got there because no one was around . When they turned up they were friendly enough but , it’s not really the point full price and halfterm I expected something to be open I couldn’t even get leaflets for local attractions let alone breakfast . I wouldn’t have booked if I realised nothing was opening and it felt no one was available if there was an issue. I was camping alone with two young girls it felt incredibly vulnerable not just a rip off and we have camped extensively across Europe alone .The site had potential but we felt fleeced personally

Strawberry hill caravan park is a lovely little hidden gem plenty of places to walk or simply site on site and had a beer and burger at the great little takeaway place, cheap as chips too. Will definitely recommend it and will be returning 😀

Poor dog walk for disabled people

Hall, Deborah - 17/10/2025

Friendly staff but unfortunately not a site for me. It's not a site Friendly site for disabled people. Lack of showers and toilets if busy ( and site was full the weekend we were there ) walking round site poor under foot, and I was unable to walk my dog round dog walk as it was not flat ( any of it ) steep to get to it and felt like I needed one leg a lot longer or shorter than the other to walk round it. We didn't know just how close the site is to a main road, very noisy for us I'm afraid. As I said... not a site we would use again sorry.

A short stay to try out our campervan

Hadwin, Simon - 15/10/2025

We stayed for one night to try out our campervan. The site is within 20 mins from us so it’s ideal. The staff were friendly and polite. The snack bar served delicious food and icy cold drinks. The facilities were clean. Breakfasts were fantastic. We will visit again for a couple of nights away.

A friendly atmosphere.

McDonald, Ross - 15/10/2025

Overall we found Strawberryhill to be a lovely site to spend a couple of nights to unwind a bit and relax a little. We could have stayed a little longer but we were on a tight time frame to be back in London for one of our party to be on a plane for home a couple of days later. The site was off the road a little, behind a wooded area, sor for the most part was reasonably quiet, the facilities were a little old but were clean and tidy with good warm showers as well. Overall a pleasant stay and would recommend

Worst site ever

Preston, Amanda - 01/10/2025

Toilet block never seen anything like it in my 20 years of caravanning. Not scenic as you described, not quiet the traffic never stopped. Rubbish in the hedges. Overgrown weeds. Water tap on field squealing, so didn't dare use the tap early in a morning. Lights not working around the site. Dog walk that was a joke. Dog poo bins overflowing and the general waste bins lids up so very smelly. What is the point of having a nice entrance and the rest of the site socks.
