This was our second visit. It’s a lovely site, plenty of space on pitches etc. facilities are lacking. 2 male toilets and 1 urinal (can’t say much for the ladies) for the whole site, can get quite busy on a morning. Our first visit last year wasn’t as busy but as this was bank holiday it got quite busy.A few of the regular pitches like to smoke weed so be prepared for the smell.

We had a lovely family/friends week end, the site was very busy, the facilities were good, the selection of food and fresh cakes daily was amazing, one of our family members was rushed to hospital and the staff at the site were very caring, luckily he came back to site in the evening and again staff came out and wished him well.All left site after an extra nights stay.Thank you to all the staff for a lovely week end.

Friendly and helpful staff. Great food in the tea room and great burgers and loaded chips from the Giddy Up bar.Quiet on mid-week days we arrived there, it filled up for bank holiday weekend. Obviously popular with families it still felt quiet even though the site was full: Fairly small site, 44 pitches, with 3 terraces for caravans/Motorhomes and another for tents. Mostly flat some chocks needed. Also have 6 statics and a shepherds hut. Separate dog walk to walk pets away from pitches. More site improvements planned. Will be 5star when these are done.Very handy to get to Durham by bus and easy access to surrounding countryside and coast by car.On a dual carriageway so only downside is noise during the day. It quietens down overnight.

We have stayed here many times. Louise and Adam are great hosts. Great site to visit. The Gidy-Up horse box bar is well worth spending some time at. Smashing large screen outdoor tv. Will definitely be back yet again in the near future.

It was quiet which I like.Made welcome.Perfect place to be close to Sunderland to see family.Nice countryside.

Made us feel very welcome lovely friendly staff , everywhere was clean toilets and showers were always clean and child friendly place booked again for this weekend absolutely fantastic place

On arrival, I called in the Tea room to check and was greeted with a warm welcome from Louise. Once I had set up had a walk around the Park and ended up at Giddy Up and met Keith and Adam. The park is immaculate. Nothing was any trouble for any of the staff and they all make you feel so welcome. Had lunch and breakfast at the tea room during our stay and the food was delicious. Drinks are priced fairly and the food from Giddy up also looked lovely but didnt actually eat there, just drinks. Big screen outside so enjoyed the football whilst the kids played on the park. This site is only 30mins from where we live but is the perfect getaway. We will definitely be back. No negatives at all.

Great little place.been a few times now. Would definitely recommend it.

We love this campsite. The staff are very welcoming. The food is delicious! The park is small which we find ideal for our 2 autistic children. There is a lovely little dog walk on park and beautiful views. We stayed in a static this time. Can't wait to book again.

The purpose of our visit was a dog training weekend and as such we had our dogs with us. The caravan we rented was dog friendly and it was spotless and very comfortable. The facilities (kitchen, bathroom, bedrooms) were all really good and the shower was amazing!!Would recommend.
