A truly fantastic glamping experience in the beautiful Shepherds Hut, located on a stunning pitch at the top of the park, with a private fire pit area to enjoy the views across the valley and enjoy the dark skies on a starry night.

A great stay, again. Giddy up bar was fab 👌 fire pit was a great way to end the day. Location allowed easy access to food, drink and entertainment. Louise and Adam run a great site. Anyone would love it!
Strawberry Hill is a very friendly caravan park the Cafe lovely and the Giddy up bar do lovely food and drink very value for money.
Another great few days away as always. Hoping to book another few nights before I go back to work.
Great place to stay very welcoming Clean site Great amenities Food delicious
The food was amazing... I will say that..But the rest let it down
Just a few brief points- the campsite on pitch 41 was right next to a dual carriageway which was noisy in a tent. Also the toilet facilities was way too far away from our pitch.
We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Strawberry Hill Farm campsite. Good location for visiting Durham. We used the bus to go to Durham on both days. The walk takes about 5 minutes but is along a busy road with only a grassed foot way. There is a lot of road noise throughout the campsite, but apart from that it’s a nice campsite. Just 2 toilets and 2 showers for the ladies block but looks like new facilities are being built. We would not return but that’s only because we have now visited that area.
The toilets and showers were dreadful The chemical emptying point had been for days/weeks not been cleaned as there was emptied toilet paper on the pathway up to the empty point Filthy !!! Little care exercised throughout the site with more attention to detail required other than just accepting cash !!
My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and used the site as a base for visits to Beamish and Durham City centre. There is a bus stop at the end of the road (on the opposite side) that takes you directly into the City. The pitch was flat making setting up easy and the facilities were clean.Everyone there was friendly and welcoming and I would recommend this site to anyone wanting a safe site to use as a central base to explore Durham.
Next to a busy main road and expensive for an average site !
