We stayed at Stoats Farm in our motorhome during windy weather. Overnight, the wind increased to 60-70mph and changed direction and ripped one of our skylights off. Alex (the manager) couldn't have been more kind and helpful- and even the site's neighbour offered Gaffa tape and rope to help repair the damage.. The shower/ toilet block is the most luxurious we have ever been to, but could do with slightly longer on the light timer! The delivery of warm croissants to our door in the mornings was most welcome! Great walking up to Tennyson's monumnet and along to the Needles and Alum bay. We also walked to the Waterfront Restaurant in Totland and had an amazing meal and sunset.
Beautiful views, friendly staff and an exceptional toilet / shower block and local produce shop.Pity it's so far away from where we live.
We love staying here. The location is just perfect for making the most of the stunning scenery on the IOW. There are beautiful views from the site and so many fabulous walks that you can do without driving anywhere. The lady owner is really friendly and welcoming, and the morning pastries are delicious. The washblocks are hotel standard and such a pleasure to use. We've already returned once and will definitely be back again.
we stayed at stoats farm during a bikepacking trip. the campsite is one of the most luxurious you'll ever find in terms of the quality and cleanliness of the facilities. the location and the views from the site are gorgeous. it's not far from the needles, and surely a great base for an IOW holiday. there is a shop stocked with outdoor and everyday essentials at fair prices, including breakfast pastries and coffee. the owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. two points that could be improved upon in our opinion:- campers are expected to use the facilities shoe-less. this makes sense given the cleanliness, but perhaps flipflops/shower shoes could be supplied for those that don't have any as even the cleanest and most modern toilet isn't something you want to use barefooted. - we came with two tiny 1-person tents and paid 40 pounds for one night's camping. maybe this could be a little cheaper given the small footprint.
A great location for walkers to access the downs paths from the site. Freshwater, Totland, Colwell Bay and Yarmouth are all close by. Downs, beaches, riverside walks are all delightful.
See above fantastic site lovely hosts would definitely stay again
Check in on arrival was excellent, host answered all questions and was a total delight.Facilities were second to none and the take your shoes off policy when entering is genius so nice not to paddle around in other peoples mud.Just a short walk away from the Needles, pub at the end of the drive, plus shop with take away coffee, what is there not to love.I will return and would recommend in a hearted beat.Thank you Stoats Farm
Had a few nights break at Stoats Farm which is well located for walks acroos Tennyson to Freshwater Bay and across Headon Warren to Alum Bay. Very clean campsite with amazing toilet and shower facilities , will definitely be looking to book again In the summer and bringing our friends with their Campervan. Great invite shop that sale pretty much all you would need I cluding some nice isle of wight made produce. Nice little Pub/Restaurant also just outside if you like to eat out, which we did one evening and was really good.
Amazing site, superb location. Amazing place and superb facilities block absolutely spotless. Will definitely be back soon
Location great, lovely views, quiet area. Facilities were spotless but my shower was a bit wild, sprayed water everywhere so head may need descaling Site is work in progress and the hardstandings could do with being a bit wider so you don't have to stand on grass (mud at the moment due to amount of rain) to get in and out of van The lady running the site was excellent and must be exhausted trying to make sure everyone got on their pitches safely, again due to the bad weather Had lovely walk to needlesOverall a great weekend
