Stoats farm is a beautiful and quiet campsite. It is spread out well without feeling like people are being pitched up on top of each other. Everyone respected the quiet hours and the views were lovely, perfect star gazing opportunities. With really delicious food on offer in the cafe and some bespoke sorbet and ice cream flavours. The shop is well stocked with essentials and local craft perfect for gifts. The facilities block was clean and tidy with the under floor heating making such a difference specially when it’s a night time toilet dash. The site is a bit hilly and we were on a small decline, which was unfortunate but didn’t spoil the holiday. The shower heads could be a little unpredictable where they would spray a bit tricky when on the shorter side but again only a minor issue. The family/disabled wet rooms showers were more suitable with moveable shower heads. Such a lovely site with friendly welcoming staff.
The staff are great. The toilets are usually spotless bar our last visit but that’s down to disrespectful visitors.
We had a beautiful stay very tranquil and a total relaxing time One thing I would say to improve would be for the site to put a few picnic tables up on the fields so campers who cycle around the island have some were to sit apart from the floor to also enjoy their stay even more.Totally worth staying.
We had a very nice short stay at Stoats Farm. The facilities were very good and the staff very helpful.Lovely setting.
Wonderful few days at Stoats Farm-weather was superb. Walks all around the area are breathtaking. Headon Warren for the sunset and Tennyson monument for the rise of the Sturgeon moon. Nearby Freshwater Bay offers exciting opportunities to explore the caves on a low tide. Facilities on site are modern and kept clean. Coffee shop is delightful. Pitches are well spaced and natural hedgerow boundaries for privacy are maturing nicely. I would suggest that for campervan owners who have a side door awning, they check the pitch post location as we had to be moved, once we’d finished pitching!
On arrival we were met by friendly staff who gave us all the information we required . Our caravan pitch was very large and the shrubs on either side made it very private . The site is very well kept ,showers and toilets were clean but late night or early morning toilets did become a little dirty unfortunately this was due to no toilet brushes being avaiable so people were unable to clean them after use .A lovely friendly site everyone was pkeasant and respectfullThe area around the site provided beautiful beaches and stunning scenery Unfortunately the site had lots of empty pitches this is not a refection on the site at all the ferry companies need to reduce their extortionate prices so people can visit the island without taking out a bank loan first
We had a great stay at the campsite, 5* facilities and amazing fresh pastries from the shop !
Would have given this site 5☆ friendly staff well kept site great views .But the one thing that let's it down is the lovely separate showers has nowhere to put shampoo extra in the shower cubicle and only 1 hook on the door for a towel nowhere to put your clothes.
The site was spacious and well organised with the facilities being of an extremely high standard aided by all removing footwear when using them. The staff were helpful and hard working as more of the facilities such as the lovely cafe were beginning to take off. The pizzas were delicious and served in a lovely restaurant/ cafe. Its location is great for the Tennyson trails, walks to beaches and a local pub. It catered for families, couples and solo travellers and was quiet by 10pm which served all well. It was more expensive than other sites and we were unable to book less than a full service pitch for our campervan despite not needing it , however the standards surrounding us still made it worthwhile. Would visit again .
It's our second stay at Stoats, this time we staying in August which was really good until a large group of people showed up with their kids, running around our tent, throwing stuff at it! Litter everywhere. Thankfully it was our last night. It's hard isn't it - you have no idea who's going to show up so I completely get that it's not directly Stoats fault but a children's field or area for families would make more sense . So yes go there! It's great, just avoid school holidays.
