Very satisfied with everything
Most sites are on the east side of the island. Stoats Farm is an excellent base for west and central IOW. The facilities block is the best we have seen anywhere, 4 star hotel standard! The site is set in rolling countryside with lovely views. A short walk to the Tennyson Monument with fabulous 360 degree vistas. The High Down pub is next door, serving good food. There is a shop on site for essentials. Overall, highly recommended.Downside? Minor things really. A bit fussy on rules. Access is a little tight along narrow island lanes. Some levelling is required on most pitches.
Good value for money. Received a warm welcome. The facilities are good with a possibility to charge electronic devices. The shop is useful. The campsite is well positioned for Alum Bay and Totland with a good bus service from Totland to Newport. Take care camping on the top of the hill as it can be exposed there when the wind is strong.
We thought the site and staff there were lovely. Alex the warden was lovely and very helpful. Everywhere was so clean and tidy. We're looking forward to returning soon.
The toilet block and shower facilities are pristine , on a par with staying in a Hotel , iv never seen better . We stayed on a pitch that was right next to the shower chalet and the only grumble I can mention is that the pitch wasn't level , apart from that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and had great fun having supper and a few evening drinks nxt door at the highdown inn , fantastic food and a superb selection of real ales . Alum Bay is 1 mile up the road and the surrounding area is absolutely divine , money well spent and thank you for having us to stay.
This was our second visit to Stoats Farm this year and can’t recommend enough . Alex was superb and nothing was too much trouble . Facilities are 5 Star and location is spot on to visit some wonderful places in west wight .
I could say so much about this place, not only is the location beautiful but they way they have thought of everything makes the stay easy going, stress free and enjoyable. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen, with toilets and showers inviting to use, unlike many campsites. They provide washers, dryers, freezer, excellent disabled facilities, hair dryers and lovely washing up stations. Further the farm shop has everything you could possibly need if you forget anything, have a classic camping issue or fancy a snack (including cakes each morning and proper coffee). The pitches are well thought out, views are beautiful, and even four legged friends have a specific walking area so they can enjoy their stay. When it comes to staff once again there are only good things to say, so friendly, chatty and inviting, and constantly keeping the facilities clean. Nearby there are plenty of lovely walks like Tennyson down and the Needles. Overall I was blown away, will be back!
Lovely friendly campsite. Hotel top quality facilities. Superb location , great views and walks.Definitely recommend Stoats Farm
Lovely site, recently upgraded with a palatial facilities block. A short uphill walk to the coast path and Tennyson monument with terrific views from the top. Louise was very friendly and informative and a great multi-tasker from manning the desk to mowing the lawns. There were just a few issues that if rectified would make it perfect.1. We struggled to find Stoats Farm. The emailed instructions suggested approaching via a road with a 6'6" width restriction. Travelling in a wide motorhome we came down Western Lane instead. Unfortunately, Stoats Farm is not signposted from this direction, and the sign at the entrance is small and faces the other way. Suggest the signs are made larger and positioned to be read from all approaches.2. The facilities block was spotless and very well appointed but let down by the showers, with tiny shower heads and a press button which gives a scant 20 seconds of water per press3. Advertised as a dark skies site, but toilet block brightly lit all night
