St Helens in the Park is an attractive, established park situated on the edge of the North York Moors National Park offering a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere and is set in wonderful surroundings with first-class-facilities, with tree screening creating smaller and more intimate areas.

Search for availability Search for availability

St Helens Caravan Park is a large 36 acre campsite offering 100 touring pitches – most of which are hardstanding – including 30 adult only pitches in a quiet zone. The site is divided into terraces with tree screening creating smaller, more private areas – a feature which enables different areas of the park to vary in character and outlook. The terracing and landscaping suits the requirements of a wide range of caravanners and motorhomers.

As well as the park's adults only zone, they offer plenty of family pitches both hardstanding and grass with a number of play areas and open space for family activates. The park also have six acres devoted to Country Park for walking and relaxing – with animals to look at including pigs, sheep and our famous alpacas.

If guests fancy a truly unique camping experience the park offer a number of purpose built wooden pods. The pods will keep you warm in the winter months and cool in the summer due to fantastic insulation.

Just had a lovely week at the park and have to say it's one of the best we've been on so far. It's very well set out ,nice and quiet and only an hour and a half away from home. Only down side is the bloody A64 but it's worth the traffic 👌👌👌

1st Time at St Helens In The Park

Hudson, Peter - 07/04/2024

Great Stay, Our First Time at St Helens, stayed 5nights over Easter, Weather was Hit & Miss.Just a Few Points to raise:Stayed on pitch 27 supposed to be 9m x 9m but more like 9m x 6m. Needs to be Gravelled to edge of road Also an outside light in this area would be appreciated, apparently pitch is due for an upgrade.Toilet by reception Very tired looking, Loose Toilet pan & seat in Disabled toilet in Mens needs checked.Apparently Due for an Upgrade. Roadways around Seasonal Pitches just Grass and Very Muddy when Wet, Mud being carried onto Perimeter roads.Toilet floor covered in Mud. Pathway to Downe Arms pub Just Very Muddy & has a Treacherous Slope, but once down that you are able to walk on a hard footpath towards The Church. Could do with a Hard Base to Walk on, so as Not getting covered in Mud and Treading it into The Pub. There are steps leading to The Main Entrance a Shortcut, but this means walking across peoples pitches 18/19? Maybe a dedicated footpa

Fantastic stay under the stars

Parker (village 4) - 06/04/2024

5

We had a lovely first caravan holiday at St Helens, enjoyed by us and our dog, who loved exploring the area. The facilities are brilliant and clean, the site well kept and the staff are friendly and helpful. Easy to get to and lots to do nearby… whether it be visiting the chippy/pub or going into Scarborough etc. We would highly recommend and hope to stay again!

Lovely site!

Wood, Jackie - 05/04/2024

We have been coming here for several years now (touring). Always been a lovely site, great facilities and plenty of great walks from site. Only downside now (and not before) is that electricity is metered which makes the stay quite a bit more expensive but I suppose is necessary to pay for the new field of solar panels! Also we stayed on an adult only pitch but found kids all around playing but it was Easter I suppose. We will return but only short stay.

Lovely Site but hidden costs can spiral

Smith, Stephen - 05/04/2024

We stayed here for Easter after passing the site many times on our way to other sites in the area. It has always appealed and we were not disappointed with the site, its big in size and very well maintained. The cost of staying here wasn't cheap but I don't mind paying more for a better site. The electric costs more, which goes on a prepaid card and despite being advised £30 would be enough for our stay that went up on the penultimate day, making the stay more expensive. There is a refund policy on the card as you leave, but this is a drag. Its not explained clearly at the start how its done and when you leave staff are running all over the park to do the correct procedure for the refund. A large build up of caravans appeared at the exit and the delay to get out was over half an hour, in the end we just said keep the extra money as we had plans with the family at home. The caravan site doesn't display a telephone number so you can't check anything verbally before hand
