St Helens Caravan Park is a large 36 acre campsite offering 100 touring pitches – most of which are hardstanding – including 30 adult only pitches in a quiet zone. The site is divided into terraces with tree screening creating smaller, more private areas – a feature which enables different areas of the park to vary in character and outlook. The terracing and landscaping suits the requirements of a wide range of caravanners and motorhomers.
As well as the park's adults only zone, they offer plenty of family pitches both hardstanding and grass with a number of play areas and open space for family activates. The park also have six acres devoted to Country Park for walking and relaxing – with animals to look at including pigs, sheep and our famous alpacas.
If guests fancy a truly unique camping experience the park offer a number of purpose built wooden pods. The pods will keep you warm in the winter months and cool in the summer due to fantastic insulation.

I have been a store and stay customer for over 20 years. The advantage of this is your van is pulled onto site all ready for your arrival. Ideal for thoes who don't or can no longer tow their caravan.There have been many improvements to the site over 20 years but it still retains its feelings of living along side nature and is not highly commercialised . It remains small enough to retain the feeling that the staff know you and are concerned about your enjoyment.There have been some changes to staff and management over the last few years and all for the better.The staff are friendly, polite and know what they are doing and keep the grounds, toilets and facilities to an excellent clean standard.well done guys, keep up the good work.
Returning last weekend to st Hellens had another great time,loved new developments,new cafe great,sat outside with a glass of wine till nine o’clock great atmosphere.greek food fabulous.always most relaxing place we go.New bathroom block amazing! Great improvement,look forward to all blocks been finished.we are a store customer so have seen improvements over last couple of years has made this site on of the best sites in north of England .
Great clean fresh quiet site, super showers etc. Great location, no fuss booking in and getting set up, roll on my next visit.
We had a lovely stay at St Helens. The site was clean, the toilets and bathrooms were immaculate. The park was fantastic. The food in the onsite cafe was fabulous. we made use of the little on site shop and also the dog wash after our boy had been in the lakes and what a great touch that is too. overall fantastic site. would highly recommend.
Staff are very friendly & accommodating, all showers & toilets clean & not busy, plenty of hot water. The site is quiet & a great place to relax

As always, speedy check in and well laid out site. We love the long dog walk on the site (not just a field) and the shower facilities are clean. The owners are gradually completing improvements, eg updating older shower blocks and a new shop opposite reception. We used the cafe for one lunch, one takeaway meal and one breakfast. All were great!Our only complaint this time was, when we went to book, it only showed 3 pitches available so we had to pay an extra £18 and book a superpitch, which we don't need. There were lots of available pitches on the cheaper options and the family opposite us used a second free pitch to park their car as their awning was so big. As pensioners on a tight budget this seemed very unfair. I mentioned this at reception when checking in and leaving but they wouldn't help or explain why we had to pay more, when there was so much availability. We might choose a different site next time as there is a lot of choice in the area.
At st Helen’s the cafe is under new management I highly recommend the Greek night and the pizza nightExcellent foodJust what you need on holidayCan’t wait to return.
loved it very peaceful and pub down the road we will be back indefinitely :)
