The perfect Lake District family holiday park, Solway Holiday Village has it all - indoor swimming pools, hot tub lodges, family entertainment complex. Your family staycation will be one to remember.
Set in 130 acres of beautiful parkland nestled on the shores of the Solway Firth, facing the hills of Southern Galloway and backed by the Lake District Fells, the park is within walking distance of the Victorian seaside town of Silloth with all the amenities you’ll need.
Experience the world renowned Lake District. Take in one of the many walks, or sail the numerous lakes.
Whether you visit Lake Windemere, Ullswater or Derwentwater, it will be a day out to remember in the Lake District. Be a little more energetic with a walk around popular Lake District towns and villages such as Ambleside, Kendal or Keswick.
With lots of wide open space and so many facilities and attractions, Solway Holiday Village is perfect for exploring. You’ll find plenty of areas to hide out and make your own! Take a walk, and let the kids run free.
The park is easy to get around, and in peak season you’ll also be able to try out Freddie the Train, driven of course by one of the famous Solway Stars, and captained by Felis or Dino!

We stayed in one of the refurbished chalets for 2 nights, chalet was well equipped & warm. Staff of the holiday village were all lovely & friendly. Only problem we had was the water pressure in the area is low so the shower took a bit to get going & even after having the heating on for 6 hours as recommended couldn’t get the water to get hot in the shower. Will definitely visit again.
Nice comfortable chalet, friendly staff. Clean site
Just love silloth and Solway holiday park is the ideal place to stay, while we were staying there was a lot of renovation Going on but it never caused any problems, when they finish working the park will be even better. The staff were very friendly Cleanliness excellent Had a relaxing holiday will definitely be returning Thank you Solway
No drainage on site hence pools all over the place Ground very wet Toilet block outdatedy
Staff all great .very helpfull and no 1 lodge was good had central heating and hot tub which never used as weather was grim.but enjoyed the little break.shop at reception has good selection and good prices.£4.60 a pint not bad for caravan site.well maintianed site any probs and they are there to repair instantly.been going for 30 years.november every year for extra break.cove uk has taking over hagans solway holiday park.as dont know what prices for next year is.maybe try ryans bay as only short drive to stena to go over a day trip to ireland for the day and dont have the 2.30minute drive to glasgow at 10 pm at night.
We booked this last minute getaway 3 days before we arrived. Staff extremely accommodating and friendly. Chalet very comfortable the only thing the kitchen utensils are basic could just do with a few more, although we did manage and it certainly won’t put us off coming again, I will bring my own. We are looking to our next weekend away here. This time we had hot tub, wonderful is all I can say.
We stayed at half term October... First glance, staff lovely, lodge immaculate.Being up north it rains a fair bit lol. Lodge was beautifully clean but getting to it was a bit of a soggy trek ! All paths were flooded with mud and water ... Parking needs to be addressed also the lack of lighting to the middle row lodges, had to use phone torch !Hot tub was lovely, only downside was no light (even solar lights would have been helpful) You can use hot Tub from 1030 am to 10 pm but you can't see anything!Swimming pool VERY dated and tbh the changing rooms are awful they were dirty and had hair up the wall (yuk).Club was dated and the roof leaked, bucket had to be put on the table next to us to catch the drips...Got talking to a man who sells the lodges/caravans. He was a nice chap and he explained that the site is having a overhaul with lots of money being spent... That's good to hear, we will keep a eye on the park as we will go back if the improvements are made...
Food in bar was lovely, staff friendly and helpful, entertainment was ok bearing in mind it was end of October, swimming pool good. Silloth is small but has a few good restaurants and cafes it has a large green with amusement arcade brilliant for families when the sun is shining, will definitely be back.Only downside is touring area could do with some gravel areas, grass was sodden/flooded, we eventually found a semi dry spot. Can’t wait to return in the summer to see what else the new owners have done
