Stayed for 4 days, loved the location, nice swimming pool. Entertainment club abit dated but kids loved it.Only issue we're the toilet blocks they look amazing but a few bits have been forgotten. No where to leave your clothes when showering. Also toilets could do with being cleaned more often went in first thing in the morning and walked straight out was disgusting 🫣

We spent an amazing weekend at Solway Holiday Park. We booked a pet friendly chalet so expected a dated, very basic holiday accommodation. However we were pleasantly surprised to discover a newly refurbished chalet which was like brand new.The park was immaculate and quiet. The views just outside the park are absolutely beautiful. We went to the Club on an evening where there was live entertainment. The club was modern, bright, airy and its staff were friendly and polite. We will be returning for sure in the future.
Staff were great, particularly in the restaurant. The evening entertainment was varied and entertaining. Everything was clean and accessible. The activities were quite pricey if paying for a family so we didn’t use them. Maybe a more affordable range of activities for all ages would make us more likely to return. The caravan was clean and very well presented. We were disappointed that we couldn’t find a beach nearby but the beauty of the Lake District made up for it.
Brilliant place to stay Staff very helpfulWhat not to say apart from your mad to to visit Plenty for kids and everyone to do
We had a fab bank holiday break at Solway. The weather was beautiful, the chalet was very clean and tidy, the kids loved the hot tub and the site is decent. Fast check in and check out with friendly staff. We ate at the fish shop which was a nice tea. The swimming pool was okay, could probably do with an upgrade as it's small, we had to wait in a queue to get in. The site would be great if it had a little shop even if it just sold bread, milk and other just essentials. However we found Jaybees, a fab shop opposite Silloth green. It has everything you'll need in it and at very reasonable prices. We hit on lucky with Silloth green day too, such a lovely day we had and majority of it was free. We will definitely be back
Only.minor.niggles like 2 towels for a party of 6 and wifi.charges.A playpark for kids would be great.Entertainment (annmarie) was great and staff entertainers were lovely
We arrived at reception to find it closed. Night staff were not very happy , thenwe found out that the shop was closed all week; We had only a sandwich until my son walked into Silloth next morning,We had no transport, Next disappointment No cabaret or Bingo,i thought we were going to have a good time but no,Iago go to go m disabled but did manage to walk to see the sea,It took us 7 hours to get there Next time we will go to Grannies Hielan Hame Its only 30 minutes away,Sorry
The welcome/starter pack (tea, coffee, washing up liquid/cloth etc) provided was a nice touch. The sea was in easy walking distance. There were a few issues regarding the chalet:1. The shower didn’t switch between bath and shower function correctly 2. The shower screen was not fitted properly meaning that the floor was swimming in water every morning, which we had to mop up3. The porch light came on at night - and stayed on. There was no screen up at the front door meaning light was streaming in all night. We reported these early on the Tuesday and was told you'd send somebody over, nothing was done and so we had to put up with the issues for the whole stay ... and whilst we appreciate refurbishment was happening, the lack of a dropped curb at the entrance to our row of chalets made access difficult and was something that we feel should have been given higher priority…at the very least, a temporary ramp could have been put in place.Dogs excluded from inside services.
Caravans had many of problems that weren’t fixed over the week we stayed, arcades was tiny, only 3 other families on site, no chips in the chip shop, no shop on site,
