Quiet, basic site, within 30 min walk to coast

Fowler, Nicola - 23/08/2026

Stayed here to walk 2 sections of the coast path. Site quiet, warden on site for an hour in the evening although he was busy when we may have had a chat. No toilet or showers so need to have own facilities. Rubbish and recycling area very tidy and good water supply from local springs. Used a local taxi to help us with start/ finish when walking. Dog walk through estate as marked which had lots of squirrels to chase. Would return if visiting the area in the future.

Relaxed site and extremely friendly and helpful owner

Preis, Denise - 23/08/2026

We stayed at Smedmore for initially two nights. It’s a quiet and relaxed site with great hard standing pitches and electric at excellent value for money. We then stayed another night as we liked it so much and were moved to one of the premium pitches with sea view. Fantastic!
