The drive up to the campsite is reallly big lined with palm trees it is really nice. The touring site is quite spacious and looks out to sea. The toilet and shower facilities are very clean and modern We had take away pizza from the restaurant which was nice . And caramel cheesecake was delicious abit pricey but was worth it . Overall I thought this campsite was very good and for the price 5⭐️. I would definitely go back
This is a large holiday home site with a touring area that has fully serviced hardstanding pitches. The toilet and shower facilities are modern and clean. There is also elsan waste point. We enjoyed the on site restuarant and bar. Great access onto beach from touring pitches. Staff were friendly and overall a lovely site. We went low season (October) and paid £25 per night which was value for money.
Lovely site next to the sea shore. Facilities are immaculate and the welcoming bar / restaurant serves good food and hospitality.
The park is lovely, pitches are excellent, toilet/showers are spotless, the beach is fantastic, especially when you have dogs. We only ihad a few small ssues... There was a lack of signs when arriving in the dark, for reception and touring field. It's also very dark, a definite lack of lighting (nobody wants bright street lighting, but when you have night blindness, it's quite dangerous to walk to and from the restaurant.... torches needed)The only other problem was that there were too few dog bins. More are needed, especially near the touring field access to the beach. No bad criticism, it's a lovely place, just a couple of things that would help.
Facilities are questionable. Showers for ladies are not warm enough and unable to adjust. Having to press a button every 5 seconds is unacceptable. Lights went out in the middle of showering every night. First night there was no heating so I had to ask at reception to turn on the boiler. There was nowhere for releasing grey water for tourers on site.Great location for touring the Rhins of Galloway and superb beach. Hotel and shop is a 20 minute walk from the touring site.
We stayed on the touring part of the site for two nights in late October, for what I thought was a very reasonable price, given the location, pitch and services. We were met by a very friendly guy at reception, who also gave us all the info we needed. We managed to get a front row pitch with lovely sea view. The showers & toilets were immaculate and a delight to use. The pitch was level, no ramps required, and fully serviced. Access to the (almost deserted) beach was literally a stones throw away and you can walk either to the local village one way or for miles the other. I know this is not site related, but the beach was also very clean, so lovely to walk along. We were after a quiet break and that's what we got. We visited the lighthouse at the Mull of Galloway which is a very easy journey from here and well worth going to. We will be back to explore more of the area. Thanks for a fab stay! Helpful and comfortable accommodation
Lovely campsite with beautiful views and superb access to the beach . The toilets and showers were very clean with lovely hot water .dish washing facilities were good too . We didn’t use the restaurant this time but a nice addition to the site . Would have been nice to have a shop onsite for the odd thing but other than that it was a great place to stay .
Great friendly staff throughout especially restaurant & livery yard (horses/alpaca) great fun
This was just a short 2 day break to the land that time forgot. As you drive into the park you feel the stresses of life just fall away.A walk on the huge beach and a drink in the The Lighthouse pub will set you up to face the world again…..until the next visit !
