Rother Valley Camping and Caravan Park is situated on the outskirts of Northiam on the East Sussex and Kent border. Providing a secluded and safe environment, this park is surrounded by beautiful open countryside yet remains close to the local amenities and attractions.
On Park, we can cater for caravans, tourers and motorhomes of all sizes with or without electric hook-up. We also of course welcome campers … and dogs are welcome too!
Try something a little different? We have two fantastic luxury Glamping Pods. These new pods offer a unique camping experience accommodating two in a double pod and four in a 2 double bed pod. Each pod has comfortable double beds, microwave oven, kettle and utensils/crockery. Bring your own bedding.
Our new Bell Tents are fully equipped and ready for you to start your holiday immediately. Each Bell Tent accommodates up to 4 people so are ideal for families and small groups and is equipped with a gas hob stove and kettle, Utensils & crockery, two camp lights, water carrier and cool box (swap service of cool blocks). Just outside is your very own picnic table/bench and coal fired BBQ.
We have spacious pitches around the perimeter of our large main camping field and additional secluded alcove pitches in our wooded area. We leave the large meadow in the middle of the camping field empty so there is room for children and families to relax and play. There is an area of woodland with little dens for the children to explore and a woodland walk suitable for dogs.
The small children’s play area is in the main field with swings, slide, tower and sand table. Picnic tables are situated where you can take advantage of the beautiful views over the Rother Valley and watch the quaint steam trains chug past.
There is much to do in the local area with so many pretty villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, award winning sandy and shingle beaches plus shopping, pubs and restaurants.
Stroll around Rye Harbour, take a boat trip along River Rother or journey back in time on the nostalgic Kent & Sussex Steam Railway.
The small Kentish town of Tenterden with it’s wide tree lined high street and fantastic selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants is a 10 minute drive. The fabulous Camber Sands with its award winning sand dune backed beach is a 15 minute drive and the seaside towns of Hastings, Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea are easily accessible.
Finally, return back to Rother Valley Park and round off your evening with a campfire on your pitch, using one of our firepits.
Medieval castles, beautiful towns and gorgeous beaches… it’s all just on our doorstep!

Lots of space and clean toilets and facilities.
Great site & faculties. Really friendly. 🤩
Lovely site, we plotted on a woodland pitch, peaceful and great location for local attractions. Super clean facilities and well stocked little shop. Will return.
Staying on this site is basically camping on an open field with amenities. The pitches are not demarcated and the central open space is just used as a football pitch. What worried us most was the lack of a security barrier at the entrance. With a little imagination and some landscaping this site could be so much better. On the plus side, top marks for the shower block, which was immaculately clean with facilities for disabled clients. The site is well located for visiting this lovely area of Rye - particularly Great Dixter House and Garden.
I stay a lot of times clear toliets every time I been Good size pitches friendly
Wonderful campsite with fantastic views and friendly staff. Thoroughly recommend.
Stayed here for 4 days with 6 mates ,amazing well kept campsite with super friendly owners .
We booked to stay for 3 nights and ended up staying 7. Camping on the field is round the edges of a large playing area where children and teenagers are free to kick a ball or fly a kite. We loved the fact that there are few rules, people are expected to be sensible and respectful. The facilities are modern, clean and well maintained with plenty of hot water. So much to see and do in the area, we cycled and walked and caught the bus into Rye. Great Dixter, at the top of the village, about a 20 minute walk, was a must for us and looked fantastic at this time of year. The Indian restaurant at the entrance is excellent! What's not to like about this site? Great value for money. Lovely managers who went out of their way to be helpful. Thank you.
