Rother Valley Camping and Caravan Park is situated on the outskirts of Northiam on the East Sussex and Kent border. Providing a secluded and safe environment, this park is surrounded by beautiful open countryside yet remains close to the local amenities and attractions.
On Park, we can cater for caravans, tourers and motorhomes of all sizes with or without electric hook-up. We also of course welcome campers … and dogs are welcome too!
Try something a little different? We have two fantastic luxury Glamping Pods. These new pods offer a unique camping experience accommodating two in a double pod and four in a 2 double bed pod. Each pod has comfortable double beds, microwave oven, kettle and utensils/crockery. Bring your own bedding.
Our new Bell Tents are fully equipped and ready for you to start your holiday immediately. Each Bell Tent accommodates up to 4 people so are ideal for families and small groups and is equipped with a gas hob stove and kettle, Utensils & crockery, two camp lights, water carrier and cool box (swap service of cool blocks). Just outside is your very own picnic table/bench and coal fired BBQ.
We have spacious pitches around the perimeter of our large main camping field and additional secluded alcove pitches in our wooded area. We leave the large meadow in the middle of the camping field empty so there is room for children and families to relax and play. There is an area of woodland with little dens for the children to explore and a woodland walk suitable for dogs.
The small children’s play area is in the main field with swings, slide, tower and sand table. Picnic tables are situated where you can take advantage of the beautiful views over the Rother Valley and watch the quaint steam trains chug past.
There is much to do in the local area with so many pretty villages, historic houses, beautiful gardens, award winning sandy and shingle beaches plus shopping, pubs and restaurants.
Stroll around Rye Harbour, take a boat trip along River Rother or journey back in time on the nostalgic Kent & Sussex Steam Railway.
The small Kentish town of Tenterden with it’s wide tree lined high street and fantastic selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants is a 10 minute drive. The fabulous Camber Sands with its award winning sand dune backed beach is a 15 minute drive and the seaside towns of Hastings, Eastbourne and Bexhill-on-Sea are easily accessible.
Finally, return back to Rother Valley Park and round off your evening with a campfire on your pitch, using one of our firepits.
Medieval castles, beautiful towns and gorgeous beaches… it’s all just on our doorstep!
Electric grass pitches on our open field.
Alcoves cut out of our woodland, which vary in shape & size

Great location Clean toliet and shower Relaxing place to be ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I order the campsite for one night so my mates can stay for a party I organise. I'm there own words they said the staff was excellent and the area they stayed in was excellent. One thing they loved was the steam train that was next door to them.
This is the 4th time we’ve stayed at this site. Lovely atmosphere, not to big but enough space for kids to bike and play football.Site owners deserve a lot of credit for keeping the site super cleanBodiam, Hastings and Rye are all close by. Down the road is bodiam boating station where you can kayak etc on the river rother
Staff are lovely, kept clean, decent amenities. (Only complaint is hand dry in ladies, can dry your hands quick by waving them in the air 😂)Good size pitchs lots of room for children to play. Steam train lovely views. Good location lots around within a short drive.
Great campsite in a great location. Been before and will definitely be back again. Very welcoming on arrival and during stay. Very clean with great facilities. Couldn't have asked for more.
Good campsite location to access local places if interest (e.g. Rye, Hastings, and great to be able to get the steam train to Bodiam)Campsite facilities were very good and always clean. Helpful to have access to a fridge and freezer, and the kids play area was good. Also nice to have the option to hire a fire pit.We were in the Woodland pitches which we'd avoid if we came again. The pitches hardly had any grass so we had to pitch the tent on mud and stones, and the track to them them got very muddy and churned up by cars when it rained. The main field pitches looked good though, albeit quite close together. The campsite was busy and quite noisy late into the evening despite supposedly 'no noise after 10:30pm' which wasn't enforced.
Facilities / showers were spotlessly clean, really helpful staff who were friendly and happy to provide recommendations for dining out and sight seeing. The pitches are well spaced out and not overcrowded. We stayed in a bell tent, the beds were comfortable, stove and cool box was was also provided which was great.
Nice site. Easy walk to the nearby steam railway. Nice setting. Indian restaurant close by. Helpful staff.
Love coming here, so many good points, right by the steam railway. lovely playground. big field for playing football. Great if you are a one child family as people so friendly and my son had met friends within half hour of being there. Facilities clean and great washing up area and fridge and freezer space, this always gets full but that is because the campsite is so popular. Easy access to country side. Indian take away was amazing that's at the entrance and a café and river a short cycle or walk away. This is our 2nd visit and will defo be back.
We enjoy our 1 night stay. Friendly staff at check in. Clean site and facilities.
