Lovely site. Helpful staff

I enjoyed my stay at Riddings. The staff were helpful and friendly. The amenities did need to be cleaned more often but it was winter and there was a lot of mud around. The pitches weren't as level as we were expecting but I would definitely return.

Its good but you get what you pay for

Newbould, Graham - 23/01/2023

First impression is its lovely its cosy, its a nice size. Its easy to find when driving, the staff are lovely. The playground was decent we couldnt take the little one on it as the weather wasnt on our side during our stay but can imagine it would have been good to get her there if it was abit dryer. We stopped in the bigger cabins, but the more we looked around we did find bits what took it down a star. The cleanliness wasnt great, we had to wash cups/plates/cutlery before using as it was still dirty/wet and there was some hard plastic cups in the cupboards which had quite clearly been in there for a long time. Make sure you take dispo cooking trays as we only had 1 tiny tray which for 4 of us didnt really hold anything. Everything else was spot on. The beds/bedding/lounge area/bathroom/jacuzzi, it was a lovely few days away and the little one couldnt keep out the jacuzzi! For what we paid for NYE trip and we booked it fairly late it was a decent little trip and would recomm

Way too expensive for what it actually is.

Ellis-Fleming, Nicholas - 23/01/2023

No wood for BBQ had to use the soaked wood we found on the floor. Has a really nice vibe to it but in effect your paying 113 pound per night to stay in what's realistically a garden shed. Don't get me wrong the hotubs are really nice.. but to have to pay that much per night.. you can pick up those hotubs for a grand and under. You do the maths. Stayed 2 nights 3 days. Only received 1 towel per person for the full 3 days bare in mind you have to use the shower before the hotub.. so by the end of the first night your towels already soaked beyond recognition!! Another 40-50 miles down the road and you can stay in a giant room with your own hotub and encases garden for 70 per night!.

Hot tub lodge

Hewson, Lindsay - 19/01/2023

The hot tub lodge was great and very clean. The only negative comment I would make and this is a personal opinion: The hot tub is nearly totally enclosed, which made it warmer but made it difficult to look at the stars etc. Maybe taking the roof off would help?

Lovely place!

Hawkins, Abbie - 12/01/2023

We stayed in the luxury lodges and they were lovely, the hot tub was a great touch we really enjoyed it. The design inside the lodges were lovely and the place was clean. Really liked the little touches like there was being plenty of towels provided. The little BBQ outside, would love to come back in summer to use this!Good location for nice walks and a lovely local pub in 10 minutes. I would say the only downfall of the lodges was the beds. The beds upstairs were small singles and we very thin, as it was my partner and I staying we wanted them close together, everytime we pushed them together they would move again. Not comfortable. The next night we tried the pull out mattress, this also wasn’t ideal. I slept better on it but was still uncomfortable, my partner did not stay on it with me as there was not enough room. We would stay here again but there needs to be an improvement with the beds as a good night sleep is essential.

Great for a little retreat!

Veall, Louise - 03/01/2023

We stayed in one of the premium lodges at Riddings Wood. First impressions were great, a nice clean and warm lodge. Hot tub was amazing, nicely covered for when you visit in the middle of Winter. Surrounding area was lovely and peaceful and you’re not overlooked by anyone apart from the other people staying there. The only thing I would say is that even though the lodge slept 6, you would struggle for space with anymore than 4 people.
