We really enjoyed our stay at Whipps Cottage. The interior is beautiful, stylishly decorated, and spotlessly clean — clearly very well cared for. A couple of points to note:to access the estate’s gorgeous walks, it’s best to drive, as the lane leading there takes about ten mins on foot and can be quite busy with fast-moving traffic. It’s narrow with no verges, only raised banks, so walking along it isn’t particularly safe, especially with dogs or a pram. Whipps Cottage is situated next to a working farm (approx a few metres away - fine if you know that)and immediately beside another cottage. The neighbouring cottage’s driveway, which they use for parking, is outside two of Whipps Cottage’s lounge windows and its front door —there were three cars parked there during our stay. The only other thing of note is the stairs are painted and quite slippery. Overall the cottage is comfortable but be aware of the setting and access. We will be definitely book again but in different accommodatio
We stayed in a small lodge which was very clean and great for us the on site bar and restaurant was awesome the food was excellent the park was well looked after the staff were helpful and polite the only criticism is the hot tub could do with updating
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the cottage was lovely, homely and spaciousThe beds were comfy too!We ventured out a few days, went to Bolton Abbey and Janet's Foss - both great walks with the dogs and so much to see. We also walked round Ribblesdale and tried the local deli, again both fab! Hot tub was big and spacious for us allNice garden, it was supposed to be enclosed however our little dog did manage to get out a few times under the meshing but other than that we all had a lovely week.
This was our 3rd visit to Ribblesdale and as per the other visits it was just as good. From the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out nothing was an issue for any of the staff. All I would say is that we stayed in lodge 68 and the hot tub when at night it’s pretty dark to get to and it hreee was an extra light or two that would make a difference, but in saying that it wouldn’t stop me from staying there again
Loved every minute. Beautiful place. They look after you, been coming here 14 years with family and friends. Love it x
Very good value for money, the food was amazing and I love the pumpkins all around outside
Came here for a little getaway with my boyfriend, and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hot tub was amazing with the most amazing views. We went to the restaurant on site our second night and the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were really friendly and attentive nothing was too much. We have already said that we will be returning maybe for longer than a couple of nights.
We stayed in the Wentworth lodge with hot tub.Hot tub itself was fantastic, very large and deep. Mood lighting and a deep blue colour. Different bubble settings. Supremely relaxing! The lodge has excellent heating, big shower, jacuzzi bath, four poster bed. Good kitchen, L shaped sofa, 2 large tvs and Netflix access. Very comfortable. Parking outside also. The availability of all the Hindelinis menu as take away was especially helpful. A quick phone call and short walk to collect food. All the food is excellent quality Lovely break, have already booked again!
We stared in whipps cottage, it was beautifully designed and had everything you need for a terrific stay, restaurant on site was reasonably priced and the food was lovely. Would highly recommend
The lodge was beautifully set up and prepared and had everything we needed. Our lodge had a large private garden with a hot tub. (Nice touch that the peacocks visited throughout our stay) The check in was friendly and all staff on site were very helpful. We chose to venture out for meals but had drinks and snacks at the on site bar/ restaurant which were great and well priced. The location and grounds are also beautiful. The only (very minor) improvement I would suggest would be for there to be robes/ slippers in the lodges and some more signage to find places on site (we wanted to see the pool and struggled to find it on the map - maybe our rubbish navigation) it wasn’t possible to see the main house too which may have been nice. All in all a really great place to visit with very high standard lodges in beautiful surroundings. We will return.
