The place was empty, probably due to changes being made. Good enough but have stayed at better places.

Resipole camp site pod review

Pearson, Margaret - 28/10/2021

Oh boy was I glad I had booked a pod instead of camping. The rain was relentless and the pod was dry and cosy. I particularly liked the rubber boot tray with hooks above for wet waterproofs to drip into. The pod was immaculately clean and right next door to the washroom facilities, which also were immaculately clean. My planned late arrival was catered for by leaving the key in the door and I checked in the following morning. The pod had an electric heater, a table, 2 stools, beds, fridge, electric kettle, 4 mugs, 2 teaspoons and a cafetiere, along with 2 chairs on the veranda outside and a metal platform for cooking on. No sink or plumbing but water was available nearby and washing up facilities by the washrooms. Camping made easy and dry!

amazing views across the loch , clean facilities , nice quiet site- (in October)not many lights on around the site at night so a torch required for the toilet walk , but helps the star spotting.

First Visit

Holdstock - 03/10/2021

The sit was well run a bit over priced for camping. Amenities and general site look fine tidy and clean.Only one main point was the quality of the toilet and was block. It was not dusted. Windows had cobwebs on them with dead insects trapped. This may be environmental for spiders but not in side a human occupied wash facilities. A major issue was the entrance door to the toilet and shower areas was permanently wedged open allowing assorts of insects free range of the ablutions. This should be kept closed at all times. Best would be a two door entry system with an inner door made from a fly mesh screen. Have a look at wash facilities at camping ground at Durness.
