Well what can I say about Pomeroy Caravan Park We absolutely loved our stay from start to finish it has a little shop and a big ice cream counter with milk for sale which is their own out of a vending machine Nice feel to the site staff are very friendly and helpful Would not think twice to book again Thank you very much Steve and Claire Whittaker
Showers fantastic and very clean. Areas to camp very well maintained. Access and parking very good.
We only stayed the one night but would definitely return. Excellent facilities. Shower and toilet block were very spacious, clean and modern. The dog field is a welcome bonus. The whole site has been well thought out and has lots of extra touches i.e. a bath in the family bathroom.
Nice small but busy site, my children loved seeing and feeding the animals. The toilet block is very basic and showers being a push button a bit annoying and they were either boiling hot or cold hard to find a in-between, my daughter was very happy with the bath in the family room though as we don't have one at home. It Would have been nice to see more staff about but was end off season.
It is a nice campsite, located between Buxton and Bakewell. Although if you don't want to use your car there's only one bus a day. We stayed at end of October so service maybe better in summer. Wouldn't want to pitch a tent on the slope that is the tent field.Rest of pitches reasonable level. Nice touch of fresh milk machine with choice of milkshakes as well. Lovely café at the stables café. Again would need transport unless you wanted a good hike.Shower block lovely, clean and warm. Hated the showers as very varied heat and extremely short bursts. Overall, would be lovely in summer with warm, dry weather.
This is a great site with friendly staff, and good, clean facilities for campers. We take our tent every year for a holiday.
Beautiful site we didn’t arrive till late Friday and left early Sunday but overall our stay was lovely! Lovely quiet site and toilet/shower block clean was been impressed worn family room with a bath! The only thing I can say negative is the lighting around near the toilet block at night. It’s very dark but apart from that everything else was spot on! Thank you!
Brilliant place to stay, good location me and my wife did a lot of hiking in the Peak District National Park so this site was perfectly placed. Lady at the desk was extremely informative at check-in with places to walk, eat, cycle, local shops & pubs etc with a map of the grounds. To be fair all staff were extremely polite, friendly and chatty. The grounds are kept in perfect order, we had a large tent electric pitch with water tap hook up. Facilities are kept extremely clean, heated shower/toilets a cute little shop with essentials. Fire-pit hire was the cheapest I've paid this year, a small farm on the grounds to have walk around feed the animals. Plenty of space for kids to run wild in the safety of the site. Fresh milk on site straight from the cow, ice cream made from the farms milk was nice too. All in all we 100% will be going to this place without any doubt.
It is a beautiful site well run by very friendly people facilities are very good and the easy access to the Tissington Trail and good walking it is ideal for those wanting to enjoy the an active holiday and those who just want to relax
