Easy to access, very clean fabulous facilities including bath- super sinks and hot water for washing up and thoughtful arrangement of play areas relative to parking bays. Small shop but pretty well stocked. Lovely animal enclosures in pristine condition with chance of tasty ice cream to finish your lunch. Can think of no improvement
Unfortunately, when we let our dog of in the dog friendly field litter had blown in from the campers next to it, our dog ate a hot chocolate packet and we had to have an emergency appointment with a vet in the Peak District resulting in a hefty vet bill, it may be beneficial to have bins near that part of the campsite, we know you can’t control how other people treat litter but it ruined our stay and we actually left a day early which we are gutted about as it seemed to be in a great area, maybe next time it’ll go better.
We live quite local to pomeroy farm campsight and have stayed there 3 years in a row now! The facilities are excellent! They are clean and spacious. They have an accessible shower and toilet which I needed the first year as I was unable to shower standing! My girls love seeing the animals they have and feeding the goats! There is access to the trail for walkers and cyclists! It's just perfect really!
accessibility, location — good, disability accessible, accessible by car and bus from buxton (unfortunately only runs once a day)facilities and amenities — cute little shop, great ice cream, amazing heated showers + toilets + pot wash area. only complaint was about the showers, that only provided water for a few seconds each time and at extremely variable temperatures.firepit was a bit pricey to hire — 25 quid for firepit; with firelighters, kindling and logs, fire gloves, lighter and stick included. the additional
nice facilities, decent sized showers with hooks and room to get changed, and good dog field and access to track and the Trail. DofE groups also staying on site and were provided for with a separate field. Few issues with what appeared to be blocked toilets in ladies, poss children using these unsupervised. Camper van pitches def felt smaller than caravan pitch, not sure it was any cheaper! We did like it and intend to stay again.
We found this park spacious and with clean facilities. It is right next door to a small animal farm & there were several flies. Whilst the shower & toilet blocks were cleaned each day and kept well, we found that people using the free animal park used the toilets & the showers although hot were set to 10 seconds so had to keep pressing the button, which became difficult to regulate the temperature. The hard stand pitches have large stones so was unable to put our ground mat out. Wouldn’t stay again due to this & there’s not that much to do in the area & bus times are not great
Staff very welcoming and friendly, facilities were very good, with heated floor. Good sized pitches, and the Ice cream was lush. We paid for the Donkey experience and it was well worth the price and George was very informative. My only criticism would be the showers, which were pushbutton need to be on longer than they are, other than that we had a lovely stay
Loved the ice cream and fresh milk. Also enjoyed seeing and feeding all the animals.Nice clean facilities. We went on a very windy day and there was no shelter from the wind in the non electric field but we did alright. The area with electric pitches was much more sheltered.
My girlfriend and I stayed for a few nights, the site itself is great and all facilities are also well thought out. Some tents were far too close to others. Very little privacy and could hear people talking and dogs barking.
Pomeroy caravan park is a very enjoyable place to stay with lovely views, great access to walks, the staff are very friendly, ice cream was so tasty with a high range to choose from, the fresh milk is fantastic and animals nice to look at. It’s really nice to be able to have a fire pit and electric as it’s hard to find a site that caters for both but most of all the facilities are the best campsite facilities Ive ever come across, toilet, shower and pot washing block are fantastic and clean. Highly recommend
