A most enjoyable stay at Pomeroy as usual, we visit at least once a year, great value site in a good location

Stayed here for 3 nights. Nice clean toilets and showers also very warm.The site is a working farm and has a little petting part. Which is free and you can purchase feed for the pigs ,goats , guinea pigs and rabbits from the little shop. Great base for bike riding straight onto a car free track from the site. We went in may so not many on the campsite at that time. Liked that we could choose our pitch while booking on line. Staff were very friendly . You can walk along the bike track to the pub brilliant food. We also went to heights of Abraham in Matlock and monkey forest both worth a visit.Disliked that you book in at the little shop which also is used by public visiting the patting part. So was a bit of a wait to check in. Also disliked that the public visitors used the campsite toilets. I think this would be better if they were for campsite use only.

Excellent pitch very spacious with electric and water facilities, we were close to the facilities which were spotlessly clean, showers were nice an warm. The staff were very helpful and welcoming and friendly.The shop/reception area is really good for essentials and the ice cream is out of this world.We enjoyed lots of lovely walks along the high peak trail which is very easily accessed.The petting farm is amazing and unbelievably free of charge, with a great picnic area too.It was very busy being a Bank Holiday weekend and if I had to find a negative it was that there were children playing football next to our pitch and not in the specific area allocated for Ball Games. (Although good to see them in the fresh air and not sitting glued to a device, lol.)Would highly recommend.

Excellent campsite close to the High Peak trail and good walking, Very clean toilets and facilities.

Really enjoyed our stay. Lovely clean site. Nice location and cracking ice cream.Been before and would return but the showers were rubbish. Heard others saying same so wasn't just mine. Used caravan shower instead after first night.Don't know why. Water was hot in sinks but shower was Luke warm and weak one minute then cold the next. Felt sorry for anyone in a tent wanting a hot shower.Otherwise the toilets I couldn't fault. Spotlessly clean.I'm sure they were fine when we stopped 2 years ago.

Well thought out and big pitches , great facilities, pot wash and laundry room was large , quick access to trails which lead to a few closed pubs , we found an open pub within walking distance .Staff very friendly and helpful , very nice location , excellent site , phone signal was very weak , maybe just my network, definitely visit again thanks

Loads of great facilities, really clean, power and water on tap right on the pitch. Amazing milk from the machine is a unique feature and a real bonus. The site is not too big so didn't get at all noisy. Location on the peaks is perfect, loads of access to walks.
