Lovely clean park with great size touring pitches, friendly staff & modern facilities, we will definitely be back
Very flat clean site. Immaculate and very classy Wc / shower facilities. Every hook up has a water supply too.
We made this booking & paid in full but unfortunately due to a family bereavement we were unable to keep the booking. We did email & let the park know hut this email wither went astray or was just ignored.Surely your records should have shown that we hadnt checked in!
Friendly greeting even though we arrived after normal hours. Plenty of level, spacious pitches, spotless facilities, large field for dogs to be allowed off lead.Otterington Shorthorn was a short walk away and offered another friendly greeting.
The facilities are first class staff very friendly and helpful only thing that lets it down is when they cut the grass and leave it on the ground and it makes it look very untidy and it gets everywhere in your van
The Camping Pods are located on the north-west edge of the site, adjacent to farmed fields and with easy access to surrounding footpaths, including the Park's Nature Trail, so there is a real feeling of being in a natural setting. The 5 pods are nicely separated by hawthorn hedges which create a sense of privacy and is also home to robins, and wrens, who again contribute to the feeling of being in nature. The facilities block is a short, less than 5 minutes, walk from the pods so easily accessible. Staff in reception were welcoming, friendly and helpful with a well-stocked shop, including lovely double-yoker eggs. The Camping Pack, including a single gas ring, is recommended with the butane gas cylinder good for making 3 morning pots of coffee, 2 morning bacon and egg baps and numerous mugs of tea over the 3 days: perfect.
The facilities and sites layout and presentation are really good. However there are a group of regulars on the touring area who are ignoring rules. This is a quiet rural area. Dog owners let their dogs bark indiscriminately. I reported one dog, which the owner left leashed outside and it barked constantly for hours. This set off other dogs yapping all round the site. It felt more like a dog compound than a caravan site. Someone else had already reported it. The staff said they were going to address it but if they did it had no effect. At night the 11pm curfew was ignored. A group of regulars were in the awning next to us and I had to go and ask them to be quiet as I could not get to sleep. Had they gone into their caravan this would not have been necessary. If this continues the site will lose customers. My husband and I needed this break due to a very stressful 2 months. This did not happen. This is the first tine I've felt it necessary to leave such a negative review.
Shame you have to pay for electric. Bought pitch with electric included and when arrived had to buy electric again
It was a good all round park the shower block was very clean. The park itself was very clean and tidy and the staff were very friendly
