Set in the charming village of Austwick near Settle, Orcaber Farm offers a haven for nature enthusiasts, boasting breathtaking views of picturesque countryside. The park’s strategic location makes it an ideal hub for exploring the enchanting Yorkshire Dales, with an array of walking and cycling trails at your doorstep and iconic landmarks such as Malham Cove, Ribblehead Viaduct, and the Yorkshire Three Peaks all within easy reach.
One of Orcaber's standout features is its diverse range of camping pitches, catering to various needs and preferences. For those seeking a bit of modern convenience, electric hookups are available, ensuring a comfortable stay without compromising the charm of the great outdoors. The well-maintained site encompasses modern amenities, including pristine toilets, showers, and a convenient washing-up area.
The campsite has garnered acclaim as a favoured destination for caravan and motorhome enthusiasts. Offering pitches of various sizes, including both grass and hardstanding options, Orcaber Farm accommodates vehicles of all shapes and sizes.
The emphasis on flexibility extends to camping pods, presenting an enticing alternative for those who crave the camping experience with a touch of added comfort. These well-insulated pods, capable of hosting up to four people, provide a cosy haven equipped with lighting and electric sockets—a perfect compromise between the allure of nature and the desire for creature comforts. It's worth noting that the pods do not include beds, so guests are advised to bring their air-beds for a restful night's sleep.
Beyond individual camping setups, Orcaber Farm excels in its provision of comprehensive facilities with the inclusion of electric hookups, well-maintained toilets and showers, and a practical washing-up area contributes to a hassle-free camping experience.
On-site facilities extend beyond the basic necessities, with an excellent shower block, separate facilities for men and women, and the thoughtful provision of hairdryers and electric points, albeit requiring a nominal fee. Clean and well-maintained toilets add to the overall positive impression.
Orcaber Farm goes beyond the traditional camping experience by providing a dedicated dog walk area along the river, creating a welcoming environment for pet owners. The presence of picnic benches scattered around the site invites guests to savour the tranquillity of the surroundings. A short stroll into the village rewards campers with access to a pub, a shop, and a play park, adding to the convenience of the location. For those in need of larger shopping options, the proximity of Settle, just five miles away, provides access to a larger supermarket.
For those seeking information on local attractions and activities, the Tourist Information point on-site is a valuable resource, offering a plethora of leaflets to guide your exploration of the surrounding area.
All our hard standing pitches are super pitches, which are hard standing with your own fresh water tap and grey waste disposal drain.

Came on my own hubby at work) always feel safe here. Well organised site, ground nice & flat for campervan, you can choose your own spot within designated area. Toilets & showers are the best….score 4.5/5 for these (only reduced as another campsite I’ve been to has underfloor heating!) they’re always pristine, good quality loo roll (this all counts you know) shower flow fabulous and hot :-) and…..love the music….gets me in the mood in the morning and nice & toasty in there, which matters wen it’s a bit chilly. The other facilities are great too, outdoor pot wash under cover and hot water too. Little shop there too and lady on the reception desk/shop. Really lovely and super helpful. And this campsite is super cheap! So anyone who grumbles about 50p for the shower, they need to get a grip! At least due to the use of the fee for 10mins (which actually gives you loads of time, even if it’s hair wash day) it keeps the flow through the showers going at busy times.
This was our first stay at Orcaber and we shall definitely be returning. From arrival to leaving the service at the site was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All facilities were clean and well maintained. I loved the way there was a room with lots of information in it on the local area, giving local shops, GP surgeries and eateries with all the opening times and distances from the site( very helpful). The shop contains anything that you could possibly need during your stay and the provision of Fir pits if required is a great idea. Well done to everyone at Orcaber Farm Caravan and Camping Park you have everything just right
Large pod, one person staying. Big enough for myself. No facilities but electric & sockets for charging.Used my own cook system outside, thankfully nice weather.Quite a walk to toilet facilities! But was nice weather so ok.Was quiet on this occasion. People seemed to stay clear of other people's space & kept dogs on leadWatched rabbits, hogs & bats on a night
A superb campsite. I have camped before and booked a pod for this trip. The prices are reasonable and the facilities are immaculate. The location is superb for visiting the Yorkshire dales for a walking holiday with many classic walks within a 15 minute drive. Some superb local pubs for food and drink and the courtyard dairy is 5 mins away for cheese lovers, like me.I have only been at fairly quiet times. I suspect the site gets very, very busy during school holidays etc so if that’s not your thing I’d probably look elsewhere.
Great stay overall. As we didn't need electric we were put in the large flat field on the Friday afternoon. However as there was a large football net in the middle with people playing football we were limited where to park our camper van as we didn't want it to be hit with a ball. Later in the evening it became a little crowded and noisy around us. The next day it became busier and we were concerned about the amount of fires/BBQs likely to be lit that night some requested to be moved to the top field on the hill. The lady in the shop was extremely helpful and understood our concerns and we were able to move. It was lovely on the hill and very peaceful and we could see all the campfires/BBQs/smoke without being affected! 😊 I have to say the showers/loos were top class and immaculate and will most likely return but request a pitch in the top field on the hill!
Enjoyable
Great stay as expected! Setting is perfect! Facilities perfect! Shop had me covered when it turned out I’d mislaid my tent pegs. Will be back again at some point as location is great and camping field lovely. I can’t say enough good words about this site!
Very clean campsite, great accommodation or place to put up tent or van. Fire pit allowed and stunning view. Good base to come out for hikes
Nice large electric pitches set around the outside of the field. Very well kept site, everything nice and clean incl Showers and toilets. Showers cost 50p for 10 mins. Onsite shop, pizza and burgers for sale at weekends, very reasonably priced. Firepits available and wood and kindling for sale. Lovely little walk to the river passing by cows and sheep. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times. Will be returning in 2 weeks an no doubt we will be back a few more times throughout the year. Great site for couples and families.
Me and my 2 sons stayed here many times, we absolutely love this site and would definitely recommend a stay there. Always clean and tidy, amazing home made pizzas.
