Moss Wood is a fabulous family run caravan park for Holiday Homes, Touring Caravans and Motorhomes, nestled in a tree lined vale near the ancient village of Cockerham, and provides easy access to walks on the coastal path and nearby areas of Natural Outstanding Beauty.

Skelwith Fold's 90 touring pitches for Caravan and Motorhome holidays are scattered throughout a 130-acre woodland site, offering guests the opportunity to cohabit with wildlife, woodland, wetland and fell habitats found within the caravan sites boundaries.

All touring pitches are hard standing, offer electric hook-up and are conveniently located for use of the free toilet and shower blocks. Guests have access to laundry facilities, water standpipes and the reception can offer a gas exchange. There is a well stocked shop, internet access and even a Trust Library.

The park also have available 4 self-contained Hideaways which are located in one of the park’s quietest and most wildlife-friendly spots. These two-berth Hideaways provide a unique ambience that cannot be experienced anywhere else in the Lake District.

The site was amazing. Was our first time away in our little campervan and we loved loved it. We are now looking at purchasing a motorhome. So we will be back for sure.The neighbours next us were from our hometown. The toilets and showers very clean and spacious. Loved how u ad a key just had to remember to take.The shop had all essentials in. Loved the barrier and the key code system which made me feel more secure. We will defo be back hopefully with our new us motorhome. Thanks Mosswood 😊

We've stayed at mosswood a couple of times, ideal for spot of fishing, close to the m6, ideal hub for travelling further a field. Good selection of items in the on site shop. Toilet block spotless. Look forward to staying there again.

A fantastic little touring site on a larger static site. Facilities 10/10. Staff very helpful and now we have become regular visitors always a warm welcome. Made some lovely friends whilst there and we will be a regular visitor next season too! Even the rain won’t stop us 😂

I really liked this caravan site, the country roads to get to the caravan site are easy to navigate with plenty of points to pass. The site itself self is clean and well maintained, the two children’s playgrounds are well sized and my daughter loved the woodland walk trail. A really lovey extra touch. The toilets blocks are clean and well maintained even in heavy rain.
