Unfortunately there is no where to get a decent meal at the site only pizza. None of the pubs do food so i think you have to drive to the nearest town a couple of mile away
Very well priced, excellent scenic location. Toilets and shower could be a bit more spacious but very clean
Very organised. All staff were very polite. Ablution blocks were very clean and tidy.
Really enjoyed Rooskey for one night, will stay longer next time. Toilets perfect, water, waste, surroundings ao peaceful watching the boats and fishing. A big shout out to Yer Man pizza truck nearby. Lovely pizza. Price point perfect and we opted for late checkout.
We had a lovely overnight stay at Lynders Rooskey. Great little site. Very well kept. Had a nice walk round the canal loop. Supermarket just outside the site as well . Very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend and hopefully will stop again on our next Ireland travels.
Camp is very basic with very little to do while there. Toilets and showers in portocabins which are not actually on the site but outside the barrier. Toilets weren't clean and no toilet rolls in holders even though campsite was only ever half full at most while we were there. The bins were overflowing and we struggled to get rubbish into it. Shop close by but it closes early especially on a Sunday. Was handy having barrier that read you number plate. Pizza van had lovely food and the discount was a bonus. Handy place if you want quiet stay but nothing for kids unless you cross bridge to park. Good space and free WiFi is also a plus. Was thinking it would be the same as Dublin but it's nothing like it. Only a new campsite which was badly needed in area but does need some improvement
We stayed here for one night on our return journey from Killarney to Derry, on arrival we were very warmly welcomed by the lad at reception and he told us a bit about the area we were staying in pubs, shops, and walks way etc. This site sits directly next to the Shannon River so its a very idyllic location. Once we got set up we took a trip back down to reception as they have an angling shop in there. The guy on the counter was very knowledgeable about the river and the species in the river and he gave us a few tips for fishing lures and permets that we may need which was very helpful as we intended to fish for a while with the kids. The services at the site are ok, the area for dumping out the grey water and the water from the chemical toilet is well maintained. The toilet and shower areas are quite small (but very very clean) but as this is a new enough site id expect this will be something that will be updated in the future. Definitely staying here again.
