Cold shower blocks, seemed a lot of residents caravans there lots of them looked shabby . Site staff really good and helpful.
Showers need improvement and adult bar was closed
I was last here 40 years ago and it seems much bigger than what I remember. Lots of permanent tourers with awnings who must love it here. Good playgrounds for children and animals to see. Grounds are well kept and tidy and facilities are very clean. I was told showers were nice and hot, although you had to keep pressing a button. Apparently your clothing and shoes also get drenched as water is very powerful. No heating in the shower block and site is open all year round. Jakks bar was open at weekend with live entertainment on Saturday. Mixed comments on meals from cafe. Scampi meal very good. Gammon was overcooked and crisp and was either sent back or left on plate. Good location especially with bus stop outside of site. Bus to Wem, Shrewsbury and Whitchurch. Wem is over 30 minute walk along main road which has a footpath. Nice little town with beautiful church. Good meals at Castle pub and good Sunday lunch at Warbling Tit restaurant for £10.50 and puddings £3.50.
Staff friendly. Although facilities clean, inadequate for size of sitem. No where to hang cloths in wash cubicle. No seats and only 2 small hooks for clothes. Motorhome drive over difficult to access with rv situated, chemical emptying point tap difficult to use Bus from site for days out. Walk to wem limited walking from site , cycle rides if proficient main road cyclist. Entertainment venue good for those who like it. Cafe medioca
Spent many weekends at lower lacon. Plenty to do and very relaxed
We have stayed at the site before which is convenient for us with our little dog .it would be much better if the caravan had decking so the dog could go out other wise the door is shut especially in summer.have only good things to say lovely dog walks around site, lovely staff would stay again .
Located within easy walking distance to Wem, with its pubs and restaurants, the park is clean and friendly. We stayed in early Spring and it was very quiet. The shop was well stocked and very reasonably priced with a good selection of food, drink and camping essentials. The only concern would be the reputation of the park for rowdy behaviour in the busy Summer times, as confirmed by a regular customer. Maybe curbing the accessibility by large groups would be a good idea.
Absolutely going back. We love it. All the staff are so friendly the owners are brilliant. Kids love it on the park and in jacks barn. We have been there every school holiday last year. Very clean also the cleaners do an amazing job toilets and shower spotless. The bar staff are fun and very helpful. Can’t ask for a better place brilliant
All staff are friendly and the wardens are very accommodating to help you with all your needs hat off to everyone on site love it been here 6 years now as a holiday home owner
