Great stay as always

Although perfectly located for the Coast 2 Coast walk, there are very little facilities for walkers Staff are lovely and the place is very nice. However, they didn’t have any food on arrival, not even a sandwich as the cook was off and breakfast is after 9.00 but again the cafe was closed. The pods only offer 2 nights but only one was needed on the walk so we paid extra cleaning charge. Could offer and get so many more people

Breathtaking location, ideal for walking and getting away for peace and quiet. Cafe is great but no vegetarian options when we stayed and not much choice in the shop. Overall absolutely loved our trip and are eager to return.

Great location along the Cleveland Way and Coast to Coast. Site not really wanting to attract these audiences as you must stay two nights, which we had our rest day. I was hoping to do laundry but no facilities despite having a campsite too. The cafe (indoor) wasn’t dog friendly even for clean dogs. They were doing their best to keep the cafe open by having a reduced menu (no chef), was an average experience at best in the cafe.

Easy check in. Pods had everything we needed in their own private gardens. Peaceful and quiet given how close you are to the car park. Lovely seating area outside the bar/shop. Steak pies are to die for!! Had a lovely Thai meal in the local village. Only one disappointment! The bar closed at 4pm🤣 Would recommend the pods. Hopefully get to stay in the cabins next time.

We stayed at Lordstones for 1 night when doing the coast to coast. The facilities were clean and the tent pitch flat.We were the only ones staying that night so it was nice and quiet albeit slightly eerie!We had a nice breakfast in the café before we set off the morning after.I would certainly consider staying here again.

Had a lovely peaceful break at lordstones. Pod was lovely and easy to find. Enjoyed an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Food was delicious and staff all friendly. Enjoyed a walk out along the Cleveland way and the views from the local area.Only thing I would suggest would be lighting in the path to the pods

We had a really lovely stay. The location was fab with some incredible walks and views from the site.The pod was quite spacious and well equipped.The food at the restaurant tasted so good and we ended up eating there a lot. 10/10.Overall, a great stay and we would definitely recommend.

The site itself is good. It is level and sheltered and well looked after, with clear pitches. Although, there was some litter around our pitch in the forest retreat.However. The facilities for campers are bear minimum, there is zero customer service and feels more aligned to the glamping experience.We arrived around 1610, after a long 17mi day. The shop and cafe were closed. Early. Whilst the website does say 'times vary', there were clearly 2 more bookings still to arrive when we got there. The weather was setting in, and my bag was left open to the elements on a shelf, and we had no shelter to cook food. We had very little food, as we'd hoped to get a sandwich in the cafe - thinking it closed at 1700. Overall, it wasnt a terrible experience, but extremely overpriced for a patch of grass and a shower.
