Perfect, peaceful, surrounded by nature 🌸 🐦 🌳 🌼

Langran, Martin - 11/08/2026

We recently enjoyed a long weekend at The Drey and didn't want to leave! The lodge was spotless, well decorated and had everything we needed. It was so peaceful, with a lovely view across the tarn. We enjoyed watching the House Martins skimming across the water, and in the evenings watched the bats flitting around. The hot tub was a luxury and perfect for stargazing in the evenings. The enclosed garden was great for our inquisitive cocker spaniel, Darcey, and the dog exercise field gave her the space to stretch her legs and have a good run in a safe space. The lodge is only a 10 minute drive away from shops in Kendal and you are surrounded by quiet country lanes in the immediate vicinity. We had such a relaxing stay and felt completely immersed in nature. Thank you for having us again Littlemere. We last stayed with you about 10 years ago and brought along our cat, Jess at the time. We left it far too long to return but will definitely be back soon! Jen, Martin & Darcey 🐾

A Hidden Gem

Nicholson, Elaine - 11/08/2026

A beautiful and very well equipped lodge that was furnished to a very high standard. Everything you could possibly expect and need was there and so much more. The attention to detail and the homely feel made it that extra special. The owners and staff could not have been anymore accommodating and were all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be visiting again in the future Thank you to the team at Littlemere.

Relaxing break

Wilkinson, Christine - 08/08/2026

5

Another lovely relaxing stay at Littlemere. Everything was just as good as last time. We stayed in the Meadiow this time and previously we stayed in the Sett. This lodge was detached and slightly larger than the Set. It was clean, spacious with lovely furnishings including a log burner and jacuzzi bath which was fabulous. Our view from our balcony was stunning watching the ducks and the bees. We missed the cows and sheep though. All in all a wonderful holiday and we will definitely be back

Lake on our doorstep

Tansley, Eileen Mary - 04/08/2026

Beautiful place, the ideal place to chill and unwind. So peaceful, spotlessly clean and all amenities. We are an elderly couple and loved every moment of our stay. The only drawback was the narrow roads, which my husband found stressful.

Hot Weather Holiday

Moscrop, Stuart - 22/07/2026

Site accessibility is fine although the single lane roads after leaving the main road are faced with some trepidation when meeting large Agricultural Machinery.Lodge was great, clean, tidy, comfortable for our needs and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and the famous Kendal Mint Cake are appreciated as is the quiet nature of the site.Due to the very hot weather during our visit, travel was restricted to essential only due to the family dog but it was still a relaxing and enjoyable break despite this. Will definitely return at a later date as overall, good value for the money paid.

Another lovely holiday

This is the third year we have been here, after friends recommended the Lodges after they stayed. This will not be the last stay either. The views are lovely overlooking the lake, watching the ducks and sheep on the other side of the lake. We visit different places in the Lakes while there.

Perfectly placed for peace and tranquility.

Reeson, Katy - 10/07/2026

So pleased we found Littlemere when searching for somewhere to stay!😊The lodge was lovely, clean and well equipped and the perfect location to explore the lakes. We enjoyed visiting Bowness and taking the boat trips, and pottering around the many local shops. There is a great selection of places to eat in the area or, if you want to cater for yourself, there’s a good Sainsbury’s and Morrison in Kendal. The roads are a little tight in places… I found myself reversing several times 😂Thank you for making our stay in the Lake District so comfortable and relaxing.K&DP.S We will miss chatting with the duck family on the tarn! 🦆 (See photo)

Returned again

Cowan, Ken - 07/07/2026

We have stayed at two different or maybe three lodges over a period of several years. We come here as it is nice to visit the lakes and return home to a luxury lodge with a hot tub. It is great that dogs are allowed to stay and there is a lovely enclosed pet exercise or toilet area field for them. The lodge is left ready with plenty of accessories that you will need during your stay. Overall they are great lodges and that is why we have been several times.

Amazing place

Nugent, Alison - 03/07/2026

Littlemere Lodges, we stayed in The Nest, was amazing. It was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very dog friendly and had dog treats, water and food bowls, cooling mat. It was so peaceful and had an exercise area for dogs. You’re not overlooked by anyone else and all we could hear were ducks, birds and cows. I would definitely go back again and would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful break
