Good quality lodge overlooking a beautiful tarn. Reasonable drive from Kendal to get groceries and petrol. Good pub food 20/30 minutes drive away. Site was clean and quiet, guests kept to themselves. Dog excersise area has large enough for our labrador. We had no contact with the owners during the week, key was on the table on arrival and we left it there on departure. For us, we are used to booking accomodation with a more personal touch, but others may prefer it this way I guess. I'm sure owners were contactable if we needed them. Beds and bedding were good quality and very comfortable. Good shower and water pressure too. Lots of facilites in the cabin to deal with flies (which is obviously going to be a problem near still water). The sofa and chair in the picture is not what is actually in the lodge, and I must admit we found the sofa and chair present quite uncomfortable. Overall good value for what we paid.
Stunning lodge in a peaceful location, if you want peace and quiet then this is the place to go. Only a few miles though from some great places in the lakes and shops etc nearby. The lodge was spotless, had everything you could ask for, very comfortable. For dogs its brilliant, enclosed dog run on site which was great for us with a nervous rescue (with no recall), she absolutely loved the field and its was kept so clean, also dog biscuits and towel for her too which was such a lovely touch.Turned cool on our 3rd day and so we used the heating which worked brilliantly. We would not hesitate to return to this property, we didn't want to leave.10/10 we could find no fault at all
We stayed here for our honeymoon after getting married in The Lakes. We had an amazing time, the lodge was super clean and had everything you could possible need. We will definitely be returning!Thank you for making our honeymoon so memorable 💖
We have visited Littlemere Lodges many times and it is always very clean, tidy and is is a very peaceful place to enjoy a holiday in lovely surroundings. There are many local walks and it is very easy to visit Kendal and the surrounding area. We have two more visits there this year and booked 3 for next year too!
Fabulous accommodation with all you need for a relaxing holiday. The view from the decking at the lodge is stunning looking over a small lake across to fields opposite. We really enjoyed visiting the local area and walking round lake Windermere and lake Derwent. If you want to do the 10 mile walk around lake Derwent I would suggest parking the opposite end to Keswick town and starting the walk from there. That way you can stop in Keswick town for refreshments half way round. Highly recommend the walk.
Excellent value for money in a beautiful area. We had a lovely relaxing break and will be back again soon.
This was mine and my partners first time to the Lake District, and first time staying at Littlemere. When we were arrived we were amazed by the cleanliness and the facilities. Anything you could think of that you would need, was there. The location on the tarn was beautiful and it was so lovely to wake up to the sound of oyster catchers, ducks and we even saw some deer!! Would highly recommend to anyone and we will definitely be back!
Very relaxing, just what my wife and myself wanted , peace and quiet
This is a great place to just chill out and is well located for exploring the area.
