Couldn't possibly fault Lttlemere. We stayed at the Meadows, it was spotless, warm and had everything we could possibly need.It was 3 years since our last visit and standards are as high as ever. It was our 6th visit which says it all. It is very quiet, you are totally unaware as to whether the other lodges are occupied or not, and need have no contact with anyone. If there is a problem the owners respond immediately. We visited lots of lovely places including Windermere Penrith, Grange, ,Ulverston, and Barnard Castle. Kendal has everything you could need, and is very interesting. Normally we do lots of walking but due to me awaiting a hip replacement we had to drive around in the car but we know from past visits there is plenty of good walking in the area. You won't find anywhere better.
We had a lovely time at Littlemere. The lodge has everything you could need for your stay. Great location, very quiet and peaceful but close to Kendal where there’s plenty of supermarkets, petrol stations, etc. Highly recommend :)
I love staying here! The lodges have absolutely everything you need, especially the dog friendly ones. There's even a paddock to let them off for a run around while you absorb the tranquility of the place as you look out over the mere. It's a great location for getting into the lake District or popping into Kendal, as you're just off the A591 but tucked away into the countryside. It feels like the middle of no where! Jen is a great host and the care she puts into making sure her guests have a great stay really shows.
The lodge was spotlessly clean, though not very big but ample for two people, loved the little log burner it might be small but it gives off plenty of heat. The decking area looks on to the lake with ducks and other wildlife about throwing bread for the ducks was funny as the fish took most of it, if your looking for a quiet break look no further, the only thing going in January we had bad weather lot of rain so i think if i returned I'd go in the summer. Kendal is a 10 minute drive away, all in all a lovely place.
Our second time staying and of course, we enjoyed it. The dog wash however sprayed everywhere when we tried to use it, the vac hose was split so we couldn't clean so well and the hot tub was a tad cold. Overall, the lodge was lovely and had all the facilities we needed.
Came down to avoid the fireworks lodge spotless as usual lovely place
Lovely lodges and quiet location! However we had semi and noise was bad from next door, footsteps, cupboards banging, even hear them talking. Next time would definitely have to be single/individual lodge
Very pleased with the peace and quiet, the view and the wildlife of the mere. One thing that we did think should be included was a reasonably sized smart tv, Regards Ed.
We were very satisfied with the accommodation, size, cleanliness and accessories. Accessibility is restricted to single track roads not uncommon with the charm of such locations but still an ideal base for discovering the Lake District.
Very nice place to stay great views. friendly helpful people. Very clean all the convenience of dishwasher and washing machine if you need it Love the fact that you can take your pet and the thoughtfulness of dog bowls and treats
