This place had the best showers so far, well adjustable and with rain showers, wonderful. Unfortunately no free WiFi in the back part of the place. Close to the Union Canal.

After just completing the famed nc500 over two weeks and staying at multiple campsites, I can honestly say that Linwater is by far, far the best in all aspects. Cleanliness of the shower block , toilets, wash basins. There is even a camping kitchen, complete with microwave, air fryer, hob , kettle, table chairs, all the crockery you need, cutlery, pots and pans. Even a tv and DVD player and dvds. The pitches were big with plenty of room. As you tell I really can't praise the campsite and the owners enough. We will definitely be back in the not to distant future.It's ideally placed for easy access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow and the surrounding area.Visit...you won't be disappointed.

Lovely walks from site to the Almond AqueductBut don’t try to get into Jupiter Artland (pictured) nearby in a motorhome - the entrance road is too narrow…

I staid at Linwater Caravan Park for 4 nights in September as a base for work related business at Ratho International Climbing Centre and was super impressed. The site is very conveniently located to visit Ratho with a 30-40 minute walk or 10 min cycle ride along Union Canal accessible straight from the site so I didn't have to drive. The check in was super easy and staff so welcoming. The site feels very spacious, pitches are numbered and well spaced out with water end electric points lit up during the dark hours which was so helpful. The toilet and shower facilities were amazing, super clean and of really high quality. It was also great to have use of a campers kitchen with microwave, kettle, cutlery, crockery and even a small airfryer. The kitchen also had provision for travelling with children, providing a high chair, games and even a selection of wellies. I highly recommend this site and very happily come back to stay another time. Thank you Katie & team

We had a really peaceful relaxing break at linwater. We booked Almond lodge for the week. The lodge was absolutely spotless, it was set back from the other lodges and statics, right next to the wooded area. It was so peaceful, just what we needed. The whole site was so clean and well looked after. The camp kitchen was huge, an excellent place for those in small tents to shelter if the weather turned. The staff, as always were so friendly and accommodating. We had a meal at the bridge inn on our last night, the food was wonderful, and the free shuttle bus was a great addition.

Linwater is a very well kept caravan park. The pitches are a good size with the water, electricity & drainage within good reach. The park is quiet except for the aircraft coming in to land at Edinburgh Airport (none seem to take off!) , but these are not intrusive & stop overnight. There's a good walk from the site down to the river & along to the Union Canal. The toilet block is modern, well maintained, & clean. There's a small shop at the reception from which one could keep body & soul together until a a more major shopping opportunity presents.
