Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at lighthouse. Caravan was lovely clean ands fresh. Staff at the mermaid were excellent. Im thinking and looking to purchase a caravan on the site

Recently bought a motorhome and took my 9 year old to stay for a few days.Weather was fantastic, the food was great and the facilities were good apart from no mirror above the men’s sinks so missed half of my face shaving.Won bingo in the mermaid bar so used the winnings to stay an extra night. We will be back.

We had a fantastic time at Lighthouse Leisure. Firstly, we arrived 3 1/2 hours early, and were able to get straight into the caravan. This was clean, beds made and had everything we needed for our four night break. The facilities on site were basic, but I think this is mainly an owners site where people self cater. The food and drink that we did have on site was good quality and reasonably priced. The staff were outstanding. There wasn’t one member who didn’t give 100% to make sure we enjoyed our break. A thoroughly relaxing break - and our security deposit was put back onto my credit card the day we left site. I will definitely be back. Thank you everyone.

Nice and friendly caravan park with very friendly staff clean and lovely caravans for hire, me and my wife went with our small dog when it was quiet which was great as that's what we wanted. Nice pub on site and Hotel next to the caravan park (which dogs are allowed in both of these premises ) that serves nice meals there is also a sports bar with cafe attached but we didn't go into it there is also a fish and chip shop next to caravan park which we used one night and were happy with food. Dumfries is about 25 -30 minutes away, good for shopping and also loads of little villages close by. Some beautiful beaches along the coast which were quiet and peaceful, overall a very enjoyable and relaxing break.

We were contacted before arrival to check any needs and these were met. It was a lovely location and helpful staff.

We booked a pet van for the weekend, descided in the end not to take our dog as had a long drive. Anyway the van wasn't very nice, the smell was bad and the stains on the sofa were disgusting. We have stayed in pet vans before, and none have been like this, all be very clean. We did go straight to complain in the clubhouse as reception was closed when we arrived, and they did find us another van which was much nicer. Overall a nice place, small and quiet. Disappointed you had to pay extra for the pool though, so didn't use it. Went into the club house a few times, nice atmosphere and entertainment. The small arcade bit was rarely open but it is end of season. The camp is about half hour drive to dumfries if you need any shops, there is a small shop on site but barely had anything left on the shelves. We stayed here cos we were attending an event at Mabie farm park. There maybe more to do around there in the summer but not this time of year. Beach is nice for a walk. Staff all grea

Lovely, friendly caravan park, staff greeted us with a warm welcome.Dog friendly caravan was immaculate.Lots to do on the site, kids enjoyed swimming at the mermaid bar, private sessions to hire the pool.A few places to dine at around the site, really nice food. Kids loved the pizza at the 19th hole.Mermaid bar staff were lovely, bar is dog friendly also. Beautiful location right next to the beach and light house.

Caravan very warm and big, and clean. It had lots of space for a family of four! Very close to pool, pubs and eating places. My kids loved being close to playpark and pool. Paul johns and chippy very good to eat in. 19th hole very good to play pool with family. I visit every year and would definitely book this caravan again. Only negative thing is the cooker didn't work properly.
