Leekworth Caravan & Camping Park is situated on the outskirts of the historic market village of Middleton in Teesdale, and very close to Barnard Castle. The stunning natural beauty of the North Pennines surrounds our site and is set on the banks of the River Tees.
The famous Teesdale Way runs alongside the site and joins us to the Pennine Way and Middleton village centre, with its country shops and cafes, is only a 10 minute walk away.
With fantastic facilities on site including 1000 meters of free fishing on the River Tees, (rod licence required) and the surrounding area offering miles and miles of footpaths to explore the glorious countryside, museums, garden, attractions and so much more, we are confident that your stay will be one to remember.
We now have an adult-only section with limited pitches available (these fill up fast so you'll have to be quick to book!)
We do a lot of amazing things here at Leekworth Caravan and Camping Site in Teesdale, all managed and maintained by the Brough family. Robin, the owner, who is helped by his Mam Liz, and his Nana Lorna, all of whom have immense pride in their work to help you have an amazing time. Nothing is too much trouble for this family team, who strive to bring you the best holiday in the whole of County Durham.
The Leekworth Caravan & Camping Park has electric hook-up hardstand pitches and caters for caravans, motorhomes, and tents. We also offer seasonal pitches, pitch and store and winter storage. We have a newly built reception/shop and the newly built shower and toilet block has underfloor heating throughout.

Lovely site right by the river. Clean facilities and friendly staff. Lovely walk along the riverbank to Middleton
Had very nice stay weather was lovely site is nice got there a bit early but could not get on the tent pitch even though it was empty understand about the toilets getting cleaned but could not see why we we could not set the tent up only 45 minutes early
We stayed here during the May bank holiday having been unable to find anywhere to stay. It was recommended by someone at our previous site. THis is a very nice site on the banks of the Tees. The facilities block is very clean and looks quite new. It is a 10 minutes walk into the local village of Middleton with a co-op and also buses into Barnards castle. The owner was very helpful. We're glad we found this site and would definitely recommend.
Soon as we arrived it was all organised where our pitch was. Everything was simple to understand which made our stay brilliant
This is a very well maintained site, the staff could not be more helpful and it has everything you need. Pitches are well laid out The dog walking field is an excellent idea The location is beautiful and there is a very nice short walk into middleton
Great location lots of spaces immaculately presented facilities child free zone small shop on site and buy gas also great little hide away
Stopped here a few times now. As always clean and tidy and of course a beautiful location
Used campsite as base whilst attending an organised fishing event on upper Tees. Having previously stayed at Leekworth I knew it would be the ideal location
Very nice site in a good location to the village.
Thank you for your review and we hope that you will come back to see us.
Beautiful setting, excellent facilities, well maintained and reasonably priced unless you have a car which makes it VERY expensive
