Excellent Caravan Site.

Forster, Sarah - 12/09/2025

Excellent site, brilliantly laid out. The fella at the camp site was also excellent. The site is secure, safe, excellent amenities. The guy greeted us at the gate, asked how long we were staying again, checked our car reg number to make sure it was us who booked. Informed us where the drinking water was, the other water the drain/ pit thing for emptying the toilet cassette. Very clean the whole site. Excellent dog walking path on site, plenty of bins, recycling and general waste. The shop on site is fab, everything you need or want is in there to buy. The shower block and toilets are immaculate and only 50p to use the shower, definitely value for money. Very well maintained caravan/camping site, absolutely brilliant. We will definitely be going back in the not too distant future. Lovely site, right on the river, we decided on a hard pitch with electrics. It was really near the shower block, there was plenty of taps dotted about the site. You could also hire a fire pit for the length f

Lovely spot on the River Tees

Brewis, Chris - 07/09/2025

5

Great site. Owner is friendly, helpful and relaxed. Good clean facilities. Beautiful location by the River Tees. Good for fishing. Great dog exercise area and lovely walks direct from the site. Handy shop on site too. Middleton-in-Teesdale is an easy walk down the lane or along the river. Good food in the Teesdale Hotel. The Tees Pot cafe is very dog friendly and does a nice coffee.

Our 2nd visit and leekworth continues to impress

Weston, Oliver - 03/09/2025

Been to many campsites and very few can offer anything close to the features leekworth boasts. There's lovely views, direct access to the river with a pebble beach to enjoy, excellent facilities kept very clean, spacious pitches and a well maintained site. There is an adults only area in case that's of interest, we stay there and it's very quiet and peaceful. The recent addition of an enclosed dog field is brilliant - safe and secure so ideal for letting your dog have a good run around. Site owner and reception staff are very friendly and happy to help with anything you need. The village is a comfortable walk away and offers a couple pubs, shops and a fish and chips shop - there's also a takeaway that can deliver to the site if you face an easy night. Been twice and would happily go back a third time.

Great site with nice and friendly staff, facilities are good, a short walk to the village with great walks beside the river, not far to both low and high force waterfalls, summer hill waterfall and Gibsons cave. We were also lucky to have great weather. Definitely worth a visit

Very tidy rural camping

Kozianowski, Gunhild - 26/08/2025

Good facilities and pitches, a bit strict in organisation. Showers with coins and nevertheless quickly self-stopping disturbing. Impersonal atmosphere.

Excellent Site

Saunders, Keith - 21/08/2025

5

Love this site. It's location at the end of the lane makes it feel like it's in the middle of nowhere, but in reality 10mins walk to village centre with shops, cafes, pubs & other shops. The facilities are as clean as any I have seen on a campsite! The owner is a really nice guy who obviously takes great pride in his site and looks after his customers well.So good hope to be going back much more regularly next year!

Good site and facilities

Griffiths, Mark - 16/08/2025

5

Welcoming site in good location (despite the midges near the river feasting on my legs!)Clean facilities (50p for showers, lasts around 8 minutes or so).Got the bus to Cotherstone and walked back on the Tees Railway path, which was a fantastic, mainly flat ramble. (Excellent food at the co-operative cafe in the old church at Cotherstone).
