What a lovely long weekend we had at this campsite. It is very well maintained, spacious pitches, big enclosed dog field. What was really nice was the walk along the river which is next to the campsite, we walked into the village which took about 20 minutes and got meat from the local butchers for our barbecue, had coffee and bacon butty at the local cafe. The owner was friendly and always on hand if you needed anything at all, if you couldn’t see him you could just call him. There was a small reception and shop, if it was closed you could call him to come to the shop.The campsite had security gate which made it feel secure.The toilets and showers were very clean and well kept, they looked like they had recently been updated. There is 50p charge for the shower but the shower is good and the water is hot, my only criticism would be there is no where to put your soaps/shampoos, just a small ledge would be good and maybe a stool to put your clothes on.

Brilliant weekend, site very well kept and maintained, warm and welcoming staff. Will definitely return and recommend 👌

Leekworth caravan park is absolutely amazing, the campsite is so well kept and clean, aswell and the toilets and showers. We stayed on grass pitches and they were massive, loads of space to sit out and for our children to play. There was hardly any cars moving around making it very safe for our toddler to play. Having direct access to the river is an added bonus, we had a lovely paddle and cool off in boiling sun.We will absolutely be back!

Great location close to river and easy walk into Middleton in teesdale. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. They could do with more waste bins in the shower area and the pot wash. A general waste bin in the camping area would be good as you have to walk outside the barrier with your rubbish. No problem with the recycling bins outside the barrier. They only left 2 toilets and 2 showers open when the site was a bit quieter but in my opinion it's not enough, 3 would of been much better. Having said that it would not stop us returning in the future.

Superb site - great location and setting by the river. Immaculate shower block and well maintained pitches. NIce walk into town along the river side.

Totally cool and peaceful stay at a friendly place with flat level ground and a whole lot of dog walking both hard and easy, along the river or up hill and down dale.Can’t wait to go back

Lovely site , very quiet lots of nice walks in the area.Facilities very clean although I think the showers were expensive and the shop was very basic
