The famous Teesdale Way runs alongside the site and joins us to the Pennine Way and Middleton village centre, with its country shops and cafes, is only a 10 minute walk away.
With fantastic facilities on site including 1000 meters of free fishing on the River Tees, (rod licence required) and the surrounding area offering miles and miles of footpaths to explore the glorious countryside, museums, garden, attractions and so much more, we are confident that your stay will be one to remember.

Great location but not the cheapest
As first time caravaners we found this is an excellent site , very clean , tidy and has very helpful staff . From arriving on site to leaving you felt very welcome . The facility’s are of excellent standard and there is plenty to see and do in the area. A quiet tucked away little gem which is well worth a visit .
This is a lovely site which is always being upgraded. Has excellent WiFi, lovely spotless toilet, showers and washing up facilities.I have been going to thi its for about 45 years and will never tire of the views from the van or the walk along the river to the village.
Wonderful stay, beautiful area site spotlessly clean. Lovely river walk into town with all amenities
This site is great.loads of walks.the site itself is very clean, and tidy, well looked after.we have 2 dogs so the walks are great for them and us.there is a safe walking area as well for them within the site as well. It’s just a short walk into town,we’re there are a number of shops and restaurants and pubs.We will definitely return later in the year. Thanks for a great time.
It is an absolutely beautiful site the toilet block is immaculate. It is set in the most beautiful countryside right by the river. The only downfall was the little shop didn’t have much selection. It is very good value for money. Middleton Teesdale is a short distance away would recommend this site.
Sound people and lovely spot. Clean and well organised.
This is a site we return to again and again. The toilet and shower facilities are very clean and well maintained. The site is beautifully located by the river making it a very tranquil place to relax. There is a large dog exercise field and the village is a short walk from the site. The pitches are spacious and there is an adults only field.
beautiful site on river fishing from the site spacious good shower and toilet. Small shop on site and fire pits available
This was our third visit. We had the perfect pitch to access the free fishing. The facilities were modern and clean and well maintained. This is a gem of a campsite in the heart of Teesdale with many local attractions and we always enjoy the lovely walk along the riverbank to the village and it's tea rooms and eateries.
