Leekworth is the most beautiful site we’ve ever stayed on. It’s on a bend of the river Tees in upper Teesdale close to the pictureque small town of Middleton in Teesdale. There is none of the background traffic noise that blights much of the UK. It’s a family run site, and the owner and his mum were very welcoming and helpful, and so were the seasonal-pitch holders that we met on the site. I enjoyed the spotless showerblock and the underfloor heating was a treat. Our cockerpoo Benji had a great time - there are lovely walks straight off the site and a couple of large fenced-in doggy play areas where he could run around and play ball. We liked Leekworth so much that we’ve booked a seasonal pitch for next year

Great site and location site was spotless that said the main gripe was having paid £40 per nite the charging of 50p to use the shower is a bit naughty and the hot tap water for washing up was Luke warm at best

We've just enjoyed 3 nights at Leekworth Caravan Park, this is the second time we have stayed here. We love it, there, beautiful site, plenty of walks right on the doorstep. Robin is fab, very friendly and so helpful too. There's a fully enclosed dog section, w actually with a bin for dog waste. The walk around the site is lovely too right on the river and the walk takes you into the village and beyond. We will definitely be back again, we stayed in the adult only part. The toilet and shower blocks are very clean and good. Everything is fab, there's a code to get into the site which is good as it's safe and the gate is locked from 8.30pm till 7.30am.

One night stay at Leekworth, camping with a motorbike. Had a great spot next to the river with plenty of space between each pitch and at a very good price. The facilities were excellent with very clean toilets and good hot showers. Pot wash facility with a small library of books was a nice touch. The whole site was very clean with immaculate pitches. There was an entry gate, so the site seemed very secure and safe, which was perfect for a bike. Only 20 minute walk to nearest pub for a pint and food, or a chippy. The owner was very helpful and biker friendly. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be back. Richie

not very good for walking dogs as only walk is by riverside, it's a good walk into the village but it could do with a family pub as not much choice for food.

Fantastic site, with large pitches clearly marked out. The site has modern clean toilets and showers. A barrier at the entrance stops cars coming in during the night allowing everyone to enjoy thier evenings. Great location for walking and visiting local attractions. Very welcoming staff that can help/answer any questions
