Beautiful Mournes

Lyons, Iris - 29/10/2021

5

Lovely spacious site. Gorgeous walks through the Fairy Glen. Great cafe on site & nice restaurant in the town which is just a few minutes walk away. Only thing to watch for is Sites 35 to 40 are on a slight slope. We were on Site 36 & had been warned of this on booking. Levelling ramps definitely needed.

Love the location for themountain walks. Been here lots of times - particularly like it in the autumn, beautiful colours and the site itself is nice and quiet!

A relaxing getway

Ashford, Edward - 14/10/2021

The pitches are well spaced, and in some places with extra planting which breaks up the ranks of vehicles a bit. We were there off season so it was only half full, it would look more crowded in Summer. There's no direct view of Carlingford thanks to a thick wind break of trees, but it's only a ten minute walk across the park to the centre of Rostrevor with a small supermarket, off-license and pubs and restaurants. You can walk straight out of the site back gate onto the walking and mountain biking trails, and it's one of the best places we have been for walking the dog in the morning, and a hop and a skip away there is the Kilbroney Park Cafe (Synge & Burne) and two kiddies play parks. We were able to get the motorhome position right above the grey water drain, and each pitch has water and electric.

Family stay

Brady, Claire - 07/10/2021

A short weekend break with everything you need. We were lucky with the weather so we got to enjoy the play facilities which are great. Two different play areas depending on age. We took an evening walk with torches down through the Narnia Trail. On Saturday, in between showers, we walked up to Cloughmore Stone. This park had absolutely everything a family would need for a great stay. A 10 min walk back into town for provisions or a meal out. It really has it all.

One of the most attractive Caravan Camp sites we have visited .

Mulcahy, Denis - 06/10/2021

The only area that would be of concern to us was security because of public access, but then this is a public park unlike a secure caravan park. With regard to the other areas of no comment , we were there to have work done on our caravan so we were missing most of the time. We unfortunately had no time to enjoy the amenities of the area and had no children with us so n/a.We were so impressed with the facility and it's location that we intend returning again when we can truly enjoy it

Wonderful site, fantastic amenities, beautiful surroundings

Cantwell, Dolores - 02/10/2021

5

Lovely site, well worth visiting, will definitely be back. So much to offer for children and adults alike. Wonderful location. The only downside is that being on the side of a mountain most of the pitches have so steep a slope the levelling blocks made precious little impression. We spent the weekend leaning sideways 😂

Unfortunate incident

Burke, Leslie - 30/09/2021

We thought the site was very nice pitch.was decent initially we were on pitch 22 people used it as a go through to get into field on Fri night some local youth took crab apples threw them at van and neighbouring van. The security guard came right away very little she could do and no use calling police the receptionist was a bit abrupt as, we arrived an hour early for check in but she checked us in in summary if we had been in alternate pitch it would be 5 star but the incisent tarnished the weekend
