Mid week camping trip

Smith, Julie - 12/10/2026

My friend and I decided to get one last trip in, before it gets cold.It was very cold the first night, but having an awesome shower room with underfloor heating was just what we needed. Friendly staff, choice of pitches, amazing facilities. We will be back in early spring. Oh and the views!! And 3 pubs in the village, what's not to like.

Superb camp site as ever!

Innes, Alasdair - 08/10/2026

Kettlewell is what we regard as one of our “locals”.We popped up just for a Saturday night away. The location is quiet and scenic, yet you have the village, with shop, cafes, and three pubs less than five minutes walk away through the church yard.Yes, you have the church bells, but for us that just adds to the charm. It was nice to see people sitting outside by fire pits.

Terrific site

Pierce, Simon - 08/10/2026

Beautiful small site. Nice flat pitch and excellent shower/toilet facilities. Night sky was simply amazing. Fire pits available to hire (although £5/night is a bit steep - £5 for the weekend would have been more reasonable). Helpful staff and we were able to have the adjacent pitches even though only two required electric hook up. We had a brilliant family weekend and will definitely be returning next year.

Lovely site, great showers, otherwise basic but expensive.

We returned to Kettlewell having stayed a few times before. The location is amazing, and it has the best shower and toilet facilities of any site we’ve stayed at. Newly refurbished, very clean, warm (with underfloor heating - what a luxury that is in a cold day!) and with showers that are hit, with good pressure, and not on a timer. We opted for EHU this time. It was expensive at £10 per day, and on our last day we woke up to find it wasn’t working and so could use our kettle or toaster for breakfast. There was nobody at reception to report this to. We called the 24hr mobile number but got no answer, left a text message but got no reply. We have had no contact from them since we left which is disappointing and is the reason why we might reconsider returning.

Perfecto

We love this place. Idyllic setting. Great facilities,,great value .Heated flooring in the shower facilities.. Nigel could not be more helpful. The site is peaceful and generally quiet at night making for a great night's sleep.Locally the Kings Head is a jewell in the village a true local pub except they let in tourists and provide a warm welcome. Great beer great food and value for money. The quiz night is great fun too. Taking a drive over Coverdale to Wensleydale is recommended to see true desolation.Littondale as ever spectacular. The Spar in Threshfield for all your food needs. Pies are sublime especially the firecracker. Skipton market happens 3 times a week and is thriving.

Does it get any better than this?

Gateley, Shannon - 01/10/2026

What a stunning place! Easily walkable into lovely Kettlewell (and its amazing pubs!), stunning views and amazing amenities. It's so peaceful, so relaxing and in the perfect spot for walks and exploring. The staff members were so welcoming and helpful, both in person and when I rang about bringing a van. The shower and toilet block were spotless. We would 100% come back!

Great location, tents and campervans only. Clean modern warm toilet and showers. Very helpful campsite manager. Only downside is the church clock chiming every half hour all night but I guess thats village life!
