We had a good time, the site and facilities were excellent and close to the village facilities. The only downside was a group with a number of dogs, one of which was not properly tethered. It started barking then chased myself and my son round the site. It bit my son and could not be controlled by the owner. The owner did subsequently keep it restrained, however it was forever barking at people. We were not happy camping next to the group for fear the same thing would happen. I would have been particularly worried if I had been camping with your children. For the benefit of others on the site I think there should be a rule that dogs are not left loose but restrained at all times whilst they are on the site.
Stayed for 3 nights last weekend with a small group of friends. We were pitched together in the corner of the field with plenty of space. The views are great, shame about the weather as we had one full day of rain. The campsite manager was very friendly and helpful. Toilets and showers (3 of each in both ladies and men’s) were kept spotless with plenty of hot water. Hair dryer in ladies toilet. The only improvement would be to have a small stool inside the cubicle to sit on as balancing on one foot when trying to get dressed can prove to be difficult for us oldies. A bench is provided in main area. There is no disabled toilet as such with any grab rails. Lovely indoor washing up area with fridge and freezer. The church bells chiming every fifteen minutes were not a problem, very unobtrusive. There are three pubs within a five minute walk serving fabulous food, can highly recommend the Blue Bell. We had a great weekend visiting local attractions and collecting a few geocaches.
Had a fabulous 4 night stay at Kettlewell. Beautiful location, very well kept site with superb facilities. Site was quiet and well respected by all others campers which made the whole experience delightful. Will definitely be back. Loved it!
It’s a great place to stay because it is in Kettlewell - good for walks and eating establishments. The campsite is smallish and very flat, and the clientele on the Sunday night that we were there were very quiet. The facilities are excellent, especially the bathroom.
Lovely clean facilitiesGreat location - loads of lovely walks nearby Helpful staff
We had a really nice stay. Lovely and flat, well kept grass pitch. Toilet and shower block was modern and very clean.Lovely location for getting out on hikes with some good pubs for food and drinks. Was a bit pricey but wouldn’t put us off returning in the future.
Helpful owner, very good location, walking distance to several pub restaurants and cafe. Level site. Bathrooms could do with updating somewhat and nowhere to place clothes etc except on hooks, no surface to put things on . Overall a nice safe and relatively quiet site
Lovely clean small site in fabulous location
The facilities were spot on clean, hot powerful showers. Big Freezer to put your ice blocks in. Indoor sinks to wash your pots.Very happy with the stay the pitch was big enough for a Tent and a gazebo 🙂Will definitely be telling friends and family about it 😎
The facilities are one of the best I have been to. The campsite is well run and there are several Pubs/ Restaurants within an easy walk. I reccomend the food and atmosphere at the King's Head but the Bluebell is great aswell. Not been to the Racehorse so cannot comment. We always come on Motorcycles as we love the roads in the area.
