We visit each October half term with our Scouts, who are doing either Platinum, Diamond or King's Scout expeditions (Bronze, Silver, Gold DofE). The site is excellent for our purposes, and the facilities (toilets, pot wash etc) are five star. Nigel is an approachable, accommodating and amenable owner/host. And, he has as little control over the weather as the rest of us! The site offers very good overall value for money. Kettlewell is a friendly little village with pubs and coffee shops, and the surrounding area is fab. Kettlewell Campsite is an excellent base.

Great base for walking. 5min walk to village centre. Facilities very clean and well maintained good showers.

I found the site itself ver basic and for £40 per night in October is quite frankly ridiculous, very basic showers and toilets and that’s your lot. No shop no entertainment nothing .The village itself is beautiful the pubs are great!But wouldn’t stay at this site again.

The new DofE field is excellent. The grass area is flat and the facilities excellent. It is great to be separate from the general public for both our sake and theirs.

The DofE campong field was perfect for our Silver Groups travelling through Kettlewell on their 3 day expedition.The field is flat across the entire site and self contained with all the facilities you would expect. Well maintained and clean toilet and shower blocks with a covered washing up area. A seating area allows you to relax whilst keeping watch over the group.We will definitely be adding this site as a keeper for future expedition routes.

Booked the private site for our wedding reception. The site is beautiful and very well maintained and facilities are excellent! Toilet roll and some fire wood provided, rubbish taken away for you! Toilets and showers are excellent, lovely and clean and the showers get really hot which is fab for warming up/getting rid of a hangover! Full size kitchen sink and fridge/freezer came in very handy! All very easy to book and the guy that runs it is lovely! Very laid back and just leaves you to it which is perfect! Really good value for money for the size of the site and everything you get with it! Already thinking of booking again for next years wedding anniversary! Couldn’t recommend the site enough! If you’re on the fence just book, you won’t regret it! X

I stayed for 2 nights, Friday and Saturday. Even though I’ve visited Kettlewell many times before and only live a hours drive away, I wanted to make most of the walking opportunities this area has to offer. I found the campsite facilities extremely well kept and had no problems with anything. Only recommendation I would give is take ear plugs. The campsite backs on to the church grounds and the bell tower chimes through the night very often, luckily I always have some in my bag. Great amenities in the village with 3 pubs for drinks and food if required. Will definitely return in the future.
