Stayed here for 1 night while visiting Belfast city. The site was just on the outskirts of Belfast in a beautiful setting beside the sea. Booking on line was easy, secure site with coded gate entry, very clean facilities. Restaurant next door with great ice cream shop. Overall great a very enjoyable stay and will definitely go back.
Excellent, clean, convenient site situated right on the shore of Belfast Lough. Easily accessed and very clean facilities.
Small, quiet campsite. We stayed there for 3 nights to visit Belfast and the surroundings it was a great time.Lavatories cleanliness was a solid 8/10, free hot showers too which should be a given but definitely worth mentioning.Campsite is very secure with cameras and completely closed off by a secure code-locked gate.
This is a great place to stay just outside Belfast. Excellent pitch and facilities.Good road and rail links to Belfast
Firstly this place could not be more secure used a key pad to get in and out or cleaner toilets and facilities were 100% perfect at all times and they also have a lovely coffee shop at the very front in which everything was absolutely yummy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There also was a great park for the kids to play in at the front. We stayed and visited Belfast zoo and Carrickfergus castle and this was a great base for doing both. But there’s always a downside and unfortunately the site is too close to a main busy road and because its a central road the noise and traffic never stops day or night which meant no sleep for anyone. This would be the main reason one more thing which did confuse my kids was the fact that in the play park there were a group of boys around 9-10 roughly running around with flags around their neck of a certain religion which could put people off however as this was not actually in the caravan park and instead the park it wasn’t their issue.
Nothing bad to report. Facilities were immaculate. Showers free and nice and hot. Coded gate that meant you felt safe at all times. The online booking system made it very easy to book late in the evening and just park up. Will definitely be returning! Views are great also!
Just home from 3 night stay in jordanstown campsite.I have stayed here before and find it very good. Location excellent for travelling around. Site small but well maintained and showers are excellent, although there is only 2 showers in ladies. The only thing that would put me off is the smell from Belfast lough on a hot day. Unfortunately it is disgusting and we could not sit outside to eat i the sun due to the smell.
We've have stayed many times with grandchildren, teenagers everyone loves it young old and older
The campsite was clean, surrounding ok, the noise of the road terrible
We've stayed a a couple of the municipal campsites in NI now and they've all been great. Loughshore has all you need for a comfortable stay. Great showers, accessible sinks outside. If you've got an early ferry to catch or just want somewhere to stay while visiting Belfast its great. We couldn't find anywhere to dump our grey waste water though. There is a little road noise and we had some noisy teenagers hanging out in the park just outside the fence until later in the evening but otherwise no issues at all.
