Our 3rd stay in Jordanstown, perfect for visiting older family members while enjoying being at the coast. The entrance codes worked perfectly and you feel secure even when the only visitors. The showers were cosy and warm, immaculately clean. The laundry wasn't available last time so interesting to see good facilities and an extra washing up area, very handy in January. Great coffee in the cafe and signs of a more varied menu to include vegetarian options. Will definitely use again.

2 adults medium motorhome, noise at night.

The location is great for the ferries, security and facilities good, staff helpful and friendly.But. The noise from the park outside at 3am in the night was horrendous. Kids, assume teenagers, squealing and shouting, keeping us both awake. Goodness knows why or where from, but it spoiled our night, as we had an early start for the ferry. Shame, as everything else was fine. But next time we will stay further out of Belfast and get a later ferry.

Successful test run in the end

McKinty, Karin - 09/12/2021

Having camped in tents for years I bought my first caravan this year and was nervous of towing the first time. We used Loughshore as access is so easy from home and it is dog friendly, with a great coastal path walk on the doorstep. The caravan is now tucked up for the winter, but we had not wanted to buy it and lock it up without trying it at least once. Loughshore was its usual excellent self. Clean, secure and full of very friendly campers who rescued us when we had a problem. We saw no staff at all during our time, which might be challenging for first timers, but the processes all worked well so we were fine. My only concern is that rubbish is all in one big bin so I had to take my recyclables and compostables home with me as I prefer to put them in the right place.

Weekend experience.

Didn't see any staff at anytime although they must have been about as facilities were clean and tidy.Disappointed that there was no recycling in situ. Plenty of bins for assorted rubbish.Friends met us and we went to a local restaurant. On our return we couldn't get their car into the carpark using the security code given to us. This abrupt end spoiled a lovely evening.
