Super location. Brilliant greenway, cycleway to Belfast. We laways use it as aq base for leisurely cycling. We had been hoping for a good cycleway towards Carrfickfergus with the new road.

Lovely location on the Lough

Ogrady, Damien - 02/05/2026

A great location, with each site having its own water, power and gray water drain. The showers are excellent, plenty of hot water, with the shower block itself also being heated, which is rare.

Very disappointed with the amount of litter on the site. It wasn't a good impression for the foreign guests staying on site.

Poor quality camper stop with old worn out facilities.

Grubb, David - 29/04/2026

We spent a few day here in early April 2026, never again. The council seems to have convinced themselves that because the site is a few miles outside of Belfast (8 miles) that the motorhome community should pay well over the odds for a poorly maintained traveller site! Don't waste your money go to a privately run campsite further outside Belfast.

Campsite was good, however the grass needed mowing and perhaps a street cleaner to clean the sites as there was lots of tree debris on the motorhome sites. Facilities good but could do with a deep clean.

First visit to Jordanstown Loughshore

Kennedy, Michelle - 22/04/2026

Small, intimate site which is good with lovely views of the Lough. Sites however are quite close together. Bathroom facilities were very clean & tidy. Site is very noisy with traffic from the Shore Road. Had expected noise but not this bad. Grass was very overgrown, well overdue being cut.

We stayed for 3 nights my mid week on the 1st week of the Easter break. It wasn't overly busy and everyone kept to themselves.I never met another person at the loos/shower block. The amenities are clean and tidy although the loos or perhaps it's the floor could do with a good scrub of bleach as it smells a bit.The showers were hot and powerful.Nice park for our little one to play at.Little cafe although we only got ice cream.Nice to walk up and down with the view of Belfast lough. We went to kings coronation garden which is nice and could probably bring a picnic and make an afternoon of that.We went to Carrickfergus one day and ate in brewers fayre was tasty and very reasonableThey have a little soft play area.A 5 mini drive from the site is a spar, off licence, chip shop & pizza shop which is handyWe like loughshore as it's close enough to home to nip down for a wee weekend break. The noisy broken thing on the road has been fixed but the cars on the busy road d
