When we first pulled on site my wife’s first comment was “ it looks like a shanty town” and I must admit it did look untidy and a little off putting. We had a very welcoming visit to reception with everything clearly explained followed by a guide to our pitch, pitch was slightly slopping but nothing a pair of ramps couldn’t sort. Once pitched up we found the site quite enjoyable and facilities clean , we also enjoyed a nice evening in the Rustic Kitchen with very good burgers and reasonably priced beer again with friendly staff. The site has a fishing lake but didn’t see any details on cost, if we had been staying for more than one night I would liked to have fished so would have made more effort to find out details. All in all a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be back at some stage.

Amazing value for money, staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rustic kitchen is amazing our favourite place to eat! Such a beautiful campsite. So clean. One of our favourites.

Upon arrival you know you will have an enjoyable stay.Staff very friendly & helpful on local things to enjoy.Facilities are clean & well managed by the team & any issues are promptly responded to by the on call warden.On site food options from a local morning/lunchtime cafe to Rustic bar dining with inside/outside options.Great Pizza’s. Local farm shop also on site with a great range of produce on offer.They also have a fishing pool for the anglers out there with helpful tips from the friendly warden.Some nice carp waiting to be caught !Approximately one mile from Bewdley town with two local pubs on the way down or back from the centreThe museum & local shops have some interesting items on show..A steep walk back up cardiac hill is a good reason to check out the pubs for a refreshing drink.Will be visiting again soon as one of our favourite local venues.

We are regular visitors to Hopleys as the kids love it and have so much to do in and around the site. The campsite is always clean and tidy with very good shower and toilet facilities.They have invested in improving the pitches which now makes the campsite look very neat and organised. I was a bit dubious of the new electricity charges but our weekend stay cost us a total of £2.23. If this means that they save money on electricity by charging a few pound over the weekend and they continue to re-invest their savings into the campsite, then I am all for it.I really can't fault Hopleys, great staff and great campsite for families.

Staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The lower shower block is immaculate and the views from our fully serviced pitch were lovely. The Farm shop on site is excellent.However the roadways are of rough stone and quite slippy in the wet. The top of the site is scruffy and could do with tidying up and if the gate by reception is open, the signage is misleading - we ended up driving into a yard. We were disappointed not to eat in the Rustic Kitchen as it was fully booked despite the site not being full. An afternoon trip into Bewdley was lovely - the water front has some nice eateries and the town has some “one off” shops - good for gifts.

We had a short stay and will be back in the summer. Good tent pitch price and electric rates.

We stayed at Hopleys for two nights in March. We have stayed many times before, but this was the first time with the electric meters. As the pitch prices have been reduced to compensate for it, the cost was pretty much what it was before, which was great as we thought that the overall cost would be higher than previously. It’s good that you’re in control of how much you use.I would say to anyone who has been put off by the meters then don’t be; it works well and I think a lot of other places will probably follow suit.

Perfect: friendly & helpful staff, great food & fun quiz at The Rustic (plus dogs welcome & great staff), spotlessly clean toilet/shower block, shop that contains every emergency supply you could need, good communication from the owners leading up to our stay.Not so perfect: play area near restaurant is really only suitable for very young children and the second play area up the hill doesn't really have much there at all, just a small obstacle course that wasn't challenging enough for 9-10 year olds. With no games room or anything I wonder if Hopleys is more suited to very young children. Electric top-up card system a bit confusing. Disappointing: the cafe looked tired and the coffee was tasteless. More of a cheap "greasy spoon" place than a nice restaurant and you can't take dogs in.Additional: recommend a short walk down to the local pub for a nice drink when The Rustic isn't open. Short driving distance from Bewdley Centre. Also near to Stourport & Kidderminster.

I've not been camping in 9 years and I've found it hard to find accessible, affordable sites to get my young family back into the hobby. However, since stumbling across Hopley's, I have completely rekindled my love of camping and even created a spark in my young son's. The facilities are excellent; shower blocks are warm and clean, wash facilities all work, and both are located throughout the site so it isn't a long walk wherever you are pitched. The noise curfew at 10:30 means that even in a tent you can get a good night's sleep without noisy neighbours.Staff are friendly and helpful, and show you to your pitch if you are new to the site.I haven't been to the cafe or the Rustic, but the farm shop is terrific.In summary, this is a great family campsite. It's amenities are very comfortable, so there is no 'roughing it'. After this visit, I came back the following week!
