We loved our stay at Hook Farm, beautiful pitches with nice views and peaceful surroundings. We had a dog with us and the dog walk fields were perfect for us. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The shop was well stocked and the Indian food van that arrived on Saturday evening was delicious and huge portions. The local pub down the hill wasn’t great for us, the one time we did visit we were told they had a big party coming in and the wait for food would be over an hour, plus we are vegetarian/vegan and they don’t really advertise these meals. Overall we loved our time staying here and will definitely come back. Toilet facilities were excellent and always clean.
This is a lovely campsite ideally situated within a very pleasant walk into Lyme along a stream. Good showers (but 4 minutes is such a waste of water when not washing hair!). Quiet and lovely setting and the staff are very welcoming. There are no cooking facilities in the shepherds hut but there are saucepans so you must remember to bring your own camping stove. If you want to use the small barbecue bring something to clean it with as that is not provided either. I'm sure we will return as it is such a nice spot to stay for a few days for stunning walks and for exploring Lyme.
We felt looked after as soon as we arrived and were shown to our pitch, which was spacious. Although the site is on a hillside the pitches are pretty flat. Showers, dish washing area and washroom were close by, and kept very clean. Altogether a quiet and lovely environment and close enough to Lyme Regis to walk (about 2 miles), mostly on a path by the river.
Very welcoming site. Clean facilities. Very convenient for the jurassic coast.
Lovely site. Lots of good walking close by. Pop up food great idea. Shop on site very useful. Local bus service and pub handy.
We took our 1 year old camping for the first time and we asked to be in a quieter spot of the site so we wouldn’t wake people up if she woke in the night. They accommodated our request and we were on a lovely pitch, we a beautiful view. Facilities were lovely and clean and has an area for you washing up. Would highly recommend
Great location near to Lyme Regis with a lovely 40min walk along Lim River. Campsite is set in quiet rural location with pitches for campervans and tents, pitches are well distributed amongst a semi wooded area and there is no regimented lines of tents/ vans like most other sites. Pitches have lots of space as well for cars and outdoor living. Owners/staff are friendly and welcoming and shop is well appointed. Regular visits by food truck if you don’t feel like cooking, and there is a nearby pub which is handy for the return walk from Lyme Regis. Showers take 20p to operate
Nice people running this lovely campsite in rural Uplyme. Pitches are spacious and well serviced on tiered levels providing views across the valley.Facilities are very good and cleaned on a regular basis. The campsite is safe for children and animals if they are part of your group. The site caters for Campervans, motor homes and tents and is about 45 mins walk to the front at Lyme Regis.Speciality mobile food van visits the site on a weekly basis (usually Friday I think) providing an onsite option for those who want something different to eat on site.Nothing to improve on for us - so keep doing the same!
I had a wedding close by so it was very convenient. I was shown my place by a friendly and helpful member of staff and told where the bathroom and water was. We had a lovely quiet spot and slept well. The bathroom was very clean and the environment calm and peaceful.
Everything about this site is good - can't fault anything. Beautifully landscaped with great views across rolling hills. Well located within walking distance of Lyme Regis town along a shaded valley with a stream, although it's uphill on the return.Nice quirky pub at the end of the lane with sunken garden and friendly staff. Very good steak sandwich and chips!
