Lovely facilities, very clean, helpful staff and an ideal location above Lyme Regis.
Great Spot in Uplyme and within walking distances to Lyme Regis via main road or a riverside trail. Pitches are generally all tiered to allow most to have extensive views out over the valley. Staff and fellow campers all very friendly on a relaxed and very well maintained campsite. Showers are 20p and a bit temperamental ..but they are linked to solar so be patient. Our pitch this year was between two trees and found the daily (blackbird) birdsong to be very relaxing… and he popped down to say hello.
A very well run site with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great location with walks down to Lyme,Pizza van and Indian food an added bonus.Very clean facilities snd well looked after pitches
Second time at Hook farm, we really love it.Clean toiletsGreat viewsLovely walk into Lyme RegisBeautiful black and white cat paid us a visit each dayReally friendly owners and reception staff Overall spot onThank youSteve,Jayne,Lissy and James x
This is a lovely site, and its location is perfect as it’s a 30min walk into Lyme Regis along the river. The facilities are great, very clean and modern, and the pitches are laid out on terraces so you all get good views and don’t feel on top of each other. The showers are paid for, which I don’t really mind - I usually have quick showers - but it does make it a little stressful as although you can just put another 20p in, that would defeat the purpose of saving water because you can’t turn the shower off manually. Also my shower wasn’t very warm for about half the time.Despite this little niggle, I’d recommend the site and would come back
Such a good campsite, clean and tidy, well-looked after, great walk into Lyme, and back!
We came to hook as other family over for a wedding and we were meeting them, staff were really helpful and friendly, shop is nice and has the basics, big pitches, lovely showers and the weather even behaved for us! Lovely walk down the river to Lyme Regis, my little boy (age 7) said can we come back please mummy it’s great here! So a win all round!
Hook farm is a great campsite. The Staff are warm and friendly, amenities are first class, clean and well maintained. The pitches are well spaced with individual green areas. There's a lovely walk into Lyme Regis too which our dog loved. All in all we had a great stay couldn't fault the place.
Overall, the campsite is very quiet and peaceful with excellent views over the surrounding hills. The staff couldn't be more friendly although they did get my booking date wrong however they rectified this easily upon arrival. The only reason that I wouldn't return to this site is purely based on doing it during a motorcycle tour because I found that the whole site is built on a slope with the camping pitches terraced into the slopes. This in itself is not an issue apart from the fact that the access roads to these are on gradients and formed of a coarse aggregate which makes bike stability and manoeuvres very tricky. The ground is very stony which requires heavy duty pegs.
Friendly staff made for a great welcome. Lovely landscaping & views. Superb location for driving / walking to Lyme (lovely walk down the valley). Clean & modern facilities & well stocked shop. Pizza truck on Friday night was a bonus. Cannot recommend highly enough
