Fabulous stay at Hillside. Beautiful grounds and views. Spotlessly clean showers and toilets. Peaceful and friendly. The staff obviously work hard to keep this site immaculate. Mainly caravans when we were there as it’s a bit remote so a car is handy, but this adds to the peace and beauty of the site. Will definitely return.

Out 3rd visit to this lovely site in our touring caravan. We always book fully serviced super pitches which are massive and surrounded by trees and by a lake. Plenty of room between caravans so you’re not looking straight into your neighbours window. We had pitch 41 and right next to a field through a gate so great for dog walking. Good pub in the village, Dog and Gun and food is great, they also offer a 10% reduction on take away for customers of Hillside. Thirsk is nice to walk around with a small market on Saturdays and a good chippy. We travelled to Beamish which was only about an hour and half away and a great day out. Also Dalby Forest about 20 miles away for a good day out, our dog loves it there. We will definitely go back, lovely place, staff are friendly and the toilets and showers were very clean. Only downside with our pitch was we paid for wi fi for the week but couldn’t get our phones to connect, maybe we were a bit far from reception but they happily gave us a refund.

This site is kept immaculately. Facilities clean and tidy even when the site is full. Friendly staff and nice reception and coffee area. Safe play area for children. Makes a good base to explore North Yorkshire area. Nice shopping in Thirsk and Northallerton. York within easy travelling distance. Our dog loves all the walks around the fields and this site is really dog friendly even has its own dog wash with warm water and hairdryer which is a plus after muddy walks. Highly recommend this site.

Fantastic stay yet again. Huge pitch size where we were. Lovely and peaceful. 2 great pubs not far from site. Loads of walks straight from the site. Definitely be returning again.

Plenty of.room round your carvan on the grass pitch grate for the grandchildren

Wasnt sure what to expect when we arrived but WOW this place is so peaceful and lovely.The cottage was great, everything we needed and more, loved that the cottage had all facilities covered and having the bonus of an utility room. The cottage is located in a gret central location ideal for visiting Thirsk town, or going for the lovely walk along Sutton Bank National park. The owners are extremely welcoming and liked that the grounds are secure and have gated access.Highly recomend Hillside Caravan Park and the Granary Cottage and we look forward to returning next year if not sooner :)

Fantastic site with everything you need for a peaceful pitch. Grounds are immaculately kept by an army of robots! Views are spectacular with a huge secure dog field. Facilities are well kept and plentiful. There is even a full dog grooming station.

Relatively straightforward access and very positive impressions upon arrival. Security good with access/egress via coded barrier. Check in smooth with very friendly, mannerly and informative receptionist. Pitch location perfect for , well spaced out, good sized, clean and peaceful. Extremely well maintained site all through with clean facilities and well situated bins. Amenities excellent with coffee shop a great option. Local area very picturesque with our 'piece de resistance' being the excellent dog walking!
