Hillside Caravan Park cater for caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents, folding caravans and RV's

The park also offer guests a stay in a luxury camping pod or holiday cottage for those wanting to try something a little different. Guests can enjoy being close to nature whilst also enjoying your home comforts. The pods are warm and cosy inside and you can enjoy the surrounding countryside in your own private location.

The area is ideal for walking and there is a public footpath running through the farmstead leading to a network of public paths and bridleways on to the North Yorkshire Moors and Cleveland Way.

We have fifteen extra large super pitches for those customers who like lots of room between their own unit and the next unit.

The pitches are well spaced around the lake area with views of the Hambleton Hills. They are a little further from the amenity block, however do provide stunning views and lots of space.

The cottage combines a contemporary feel with a touch of tradition. On the ground floor, the cottage provides a spacious open plan living/dining area with a well equipped kitchen including a fridge with freezer box, dishwasher, cooker and hob. There is a downstairs WC and sofa bed which can extend the sleeping accommodation to 5 (5th person charge will apply). On the first floor, there are two bedrooms, both with fully fitted en-suite facilities. One double bedroom adjoins a bathroom with electric shower over bath, toilet and semi-recessed basin.

Lovely peaceful site and would recommend it to friends, but we probably wouldn’t return. Only one pub/restaurant near by, which was 1 1/2 miles away. I know that’s not far for some people, but lane didn’t have a pavement for evening walk back. Also we like going to different areas each time we Caravan. Driving around the area was beautiful, lots of interesting Villages and Market towns. We loved Fountains Abbey, a National Trust site

I would recommend this site but, selfishly I want to keep it all for myself as it is such a superb place and I don’t like to share anything so good.

We enjoyed our stay here, however, considering the cost of the site, there were a few disappointments. One of the showers in the ladies was out of order throughout the whole week, we would not have expected to pay extra for the internet when already paying so much, there were times when multiple toilet cubicles had no toilet paper. The underfloor heating in the toilet blocks was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful and in general the site was clean and well maintained. Our son enjoyed playing on the park, but would really have liked swings.

Hillside is a quiet well kept site, looked after by helpful and friendly staff. The facilities are always clean and heated. Pitches are well spaced, especially the super pitches which are fully serviced. I would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful break with plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area.

Very helpful friendly greeting and a nice site unfortunately our pitch was on the lower site behind the children's play area so was very noisy from 7.30am till late also would be alot better if there was a shower block on the lower site as quite a walk to the 1 shower block on the whole site which only had 2 showers so decided to shower in our own caravan. The park grounds were kept very nice and maybe benefit from a onsite cafe as nowhere local to call in for a bit of lunch.
