One of the best campsites we have stayed on absolutley spotless ,staff really friendly we were in a camper van so we had the private bathroom such a bonus it was excellent hotel quality will definatley be returning

We stayed in one of the pet friendly lodged and as soon as we walked in the door we could see how immaculate the lodge was and as we went through the rest of it, it was beautifully clean. The kitchen area was fully stocked with whatever utensils we needed. Our lodge also had a very pleasant view down the park. We will definitely stay at Hillcroft again.

If only all campsites were this good! Good sized and level pitches with hedges or fences between are so important for privacy and comfort. There are also no complicated rules about how you park your van on your pitch. The facilities are better than our bathroom at home. The dishwasher is a new and popular addition that we tried out and it worked well, once we figured it out. The walking from Hillcroft is excellent and in summer with the little bus to Howtown or the steamer it is even better, although all year there are buses along Ullswater. The welcome is always friendly here and we will certainly be back.

Level up the pitches please,otherwise excellent

The place is amazing. Grounds are immaculate, staff are very friendly and really helpful. Great variety of pitches, great internet reception and brilliant location. Just me and my dog, we stayed for 3 nights, will be returning next year. A faultless experience.

Always love visiting this site, well maintained,generous space between each caravan pitch.Shower block is great,clean and shower just perfect. Love the added touch of bird song playing.Easy access to some beautiful scenic fell walks.Short walk into Pooley Bridge, enjoyed a lovely pint or two in the local pubs. Staff pleasant.Nice swim in the lake.Visited Lowther Gardens which we enjoyed. The rose garden was a delight.
