A very well run and immaculately clean site with great facilities. Sadly, there is no pub within reasonable walking distance and if you go for a walk or cycle ride the local roads could be quite dangerous even though a 20 mph speed limit applies with plenty of speed humps on the approach road. However, a few minutes drive into Weymouth and you have got some great beaches lovely for running your dogs. Also Chesil Beach a few miles away and that lovely coastline to appreciate. There are some lovely Cliff walks round the other coastal area at Bowleaze Cove but it looked a little sad with a large derelict hotel and a very "worn out" Harvester Restaurant. If you want a good steak though, the Beefeater Restaurant we used a few minutes away was excellent in terms of service, value and food.Altogether a very pleasant and relaxing stay which was good value even though they couldn't fix the weather for us.!!
Really great site with excellent shower/toilet facilities. Ideally situated for walking the SW Costal Path, exploring Weymouth etc. we were very impressed with the site and what it had to offer. We just had one issue - we decided to stay an extra night as we were so impressed, but when we returned to the site the electricity was down in the area. Whilst we appreciate this was totally beyond the sites control, communication about the issue was poor, there was no attempt to appologise/make contact the following day to say sorry for the outage etc. Really feel that the ball was dropped in terms of customer service and the situation could have been better handled! We were frustrated as the main reason we stayed an additional night (as opposed to Britstopping) was for the electric!!!!However, this is a top notch site with great facilities, a lovely location and will definitely stay again.
Very clean all round, staff very friendly and helpful too.
Great place, very relaxing. Weather didn't help much, but exactly what I was looking for.
All ok as usual. Had to return early as wind and rain defeated any possibility of going out to see the sea !!!
We really enjoyed our family stay at Higher Moor. Great facilities on site and the kids enjoyed the freedom that comes with a small and safe family oriented campsite/park. My only feedback is that the tea towels in the pods don't actually dry things, could do to be replaced with better ones, and provide a little washing up liquid to ensure dishes can be cleaned properly.
What a lovely campsite so clean tidy and friendly def would stay again and hoping to be back in may
No wonder this site wins the prizes!Always spotlessly clean, all facilities you want and work without problems.Daniel and his team are friendly and efficient. He greets us as returning friends.Excellent location for visiting Weymouth and Dorchester and by using the lane you can easily access Abbotsbury and the west.
We enjoyed our first time trip with you? Shame about the weather , we will be
10 minutes drive to main town , lots to do for children, great town for shopping. Most cafes etc accept dogs
