Hidden Valley is a serene haven of relaxation. Set in a beautiful valley with sites overlooking the tranquil waters of the Avonmore River and a glassy, private lake, The park offers guests the opportunity to experience a holiday amid an abundance of wildlife including kingfishers, cranes, wild geese, ducks, otters and pheasant.

Hidden Valley Holiday Park attracts couples and families seeking a peaceful, family-fun holiday in picturesque surroundings. The park offers both hard-standing and grass sites, each with electric, water and grey waste. The park also has a fantastic choice of boutique glamping lodges for those looking for an outdoor getaway with all the views of camping but with all the comforts of home.

The Park was formed in 2005 and is owned and operated by The Williams family. In the first three years of operation, the owners upgraded the holiday park from a 2-star park into a 4-star Failte Ireland approved park offering modern facilities and great value for couples and families alike. As a family owned and operated business we take great pride in assuring our guests a fantastic and memorable holiday.

The park is located in Rathdrum (“Ringfort of the Ridge”), which was originally the main town of Co. Wicklow, and is still well serviced by both train and bus. The town is situated high on the western side of the beautiful Avonmore Valley and offers the tourist scenic views of the Avonmore River, which flows through the Vale of Clara. The Rathdrum railway station opened on July 18th, 1863.

Rathdrum is well known for the Avondale House and Forest Park, which was home to Charles Stewart Parnell – one of the greatest political leaders of modern Irish History. The grounds offer excellent forest/river walks and picnics.

Rathdrum was also well known for the Rathdrum International Cartoon Festival. The Cartoon Inn displays the work of Bill Eirner, Hunt Emereson, Ulrich Schroeder, Bob Foster, which are among some of the famous artists whose work can be seen at close quarter. The Cartoon Inn is famed far and wide for the rich and humour cartoons which adorn its welcoming walls.

Superb stay

An absolutely fantastic campsite. So many wonderful family activities. Cleanliness is great - even though toilets were always fairly busy and toilets/showers were used for changing after wet activities, they were always decently clean and never seemed to run out of toilet roll or soap - very impressed. The onsite restaurant serves very tasty food at reasonable prices. We had an excellent stay and definitely plan to return.

We were 2 family's holidaying together. We arrived just after 12 so that we could get pitches side by side. The pitches are a good size lots of room for a large 6 bert tent and side awning. Toilets and showers and wash up always clean. Kids enjoyed aquasplash, laser tag, tubing and crazy golf. We were there tuesday-fri, the site was quiet at night we all slept well.

Lots to do on site and beyond and very well kept, clean facilities!

Really lovely campsite. We stayed in a loft house. We got really great weather so could take full advantage of all the outdoor activities such as aqua park, climbing walls, water bumpers etc. In the evening, kids were able to fish and paddle/swim in the river. The campsite is very clean and well maintained. The slide park next year will be a brilliant addition for younger kids!The campsite was just a short distance from 'beyond the trees' which was another lovely day spent. Food in the lake house was pretty standard and feel that would be an area for improvement but honestly overall, a really great trip and would be happy to return!

The site was great, everything was clean and well laid out. We had one of the lodges and all was clean and as described on your website. It was a but farcical though after paying 190 for one night that there was no hot water in the sink and being asked to pay for shower tokens! It was just a but of a sting after paying for the Lodge, we regularly go camping so are aware you normally need tokens when in a tent/camper.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend of camping at hidden valley. There are lots of activities for kids (and adults), the facilities were kept very clean and the campsite felt safe. All activities were well organised and easy to book online. The nearby village has a large centra and there was a fantastic Italian restaurant where we ate one of the nights. Overall it was a fantastic weekend and we will definitely return next year.

This is my family's second time staying in hidden Valley the first time we went off of a reference from somebody had stayed there before and we were skeptical because we had to drive from Limerick but once we got there we were so happy that we did we had booked our second Stay but life got in the way and gave us your second kid 🧸🍼and we had to postpone our stay and honestly the staff bent over backwards to accommodate any changes to our booking and when we finally did manage to get there the staff was so nice helping us with anything we needed for our new baby from the girls in the front desk microwave and his bottles to sterilize them getting some new cattle for our Hut to the girls down in the snack shack that will close and ready to leave and still fired up their cookers to make sure the kids had something to eat I can't say enough about the place to facilities agreed that well kept you always see cleaners going around to the shower units to the toilets just general upkeep

XL boutique are fabulous for large families, we had a wonderful stay
