Brilliant location, very helpful, friendly people. didn't use the car once all week, the opportunities for walking are tremendous.
Arrived after a lot of rain and the campsite was flooded in places, with some of the grass already churned up. The lake was closed until further notice but it was clearly visible that there was some sewage problems. On a positive note, the facilities were great 👍 very clean and well maintained.Would love to go back under better circumstances as the site has the potential to be absolutely great. 😊
Great site right next to beach, staff friendly and helpful especially Wendy on reception. Great amenities loved the towel rail in the showers. Ice cream parlour a bonus lovely ice cream The ski bar across road great for food and beer nicely priced A flat level site Tesco in Milton for any items you need
Was easy to find and so close to the beach. Campsite is clean and tidy, with easy access to the shower block (which was also relatively clean). Staff were super friendly, helping to push the car onto the embankment due to ground being wet from rain. Only thing we thought it could do with was a play area for the kids, but saying that there is one a little walk along the beach path.
Harbour lights campsite is right next to the beach with a lively bar and restaurant. The campsite has everything you need. The only thing that was difficult was no WiFi for our 14 year old but it probably did him good in the end . Fabulous staff can't help you enough. Our caravan was 100% everything you needed was provided. We all absolutely loved it .
We booked a hard pitch, we was perfect as you never know the weather. Lots of places wouldn’t let us book a tent on a hard pitch so having this option was brilliant. The pitch was a really good size and we got the 4man tent, gazebo and car on. The first night was very quiet but even when it got busier there was little noise after 8:30pm - really family friendly. The first night there was access to a small toilet block but this was closed after - not sure why. The shower block is modern and has around 14 wet room with a seat, toilet, sink and hot shower. So easy with a family. It’s a shame some people didn’t keep these as clean as they could, staff were cleaning them but by the evening, because some people weren’t considerate some had lots of mud in. You could always find a clean on and not the fault of the site - maybe some cleaning wipes/cloths would encourage people to show some consideration! The ice cream shop on site was at firm favourite, and the Ski bar! Would recommend!
Harbour Lights is situated near the Lake District and is a lovely welcoming site, open all year. Good sized pitches and clean modern facilities. Lovely walks around the area, beach is on the doorstep and only a short drive from Keswick and the other lakes. Prices are reasonable and it is now our go to place for weekends away. The staff are friendly and very helpful, couldn’t ask for anything more.
Quiet friendly site. Lovely staff. Lovely views. Shower blocks were the best I have been to. Very private and roomy and all separate with fabulous complete walk in showers, heated towel rail, bench seat, toilet and vanity unit with mirror. 10 stars from me. As for the site itself, all roads leading to the entrance and exit were disappointing to a serious degree. Pot holes galore. A few hours labour for the ground staff to sort with a few tonne of stone. It was raining on my stay but the ground to the sides of the pitch were unacceptable. There were holes in the grass full of puddles. The awning carpet had to be thrown away. When walked on puddles n mud came through. Lack of water on pitch runs was disappointing. One area to fill up on arrival which was nowhere near the plot let alone the pitch. We did fill up on arrival but it was a matter of walking for water once empty as we wasn't taking the awning down to drive our motorhome round to fill up. Disappointing and would not return.
We spent five nights here. unfortunately the weather wasn’t too good but we expected that at this time of year the staff was very helpful in the toilets and showers were very clean.10 minutes into the village.Short walk into Millom.Five minutes to the ski Bar restaurant excellent food good value.Only trouble is there is no bus serviceAll in all good stay.
