The fishing pegs are in a terrible state and are dangerous. One of our group who was 70yrs old fell in the moat because the peg was not secured to the scaffolding poles. We checked about and there are quite a few pegs that only have one strap attaching them and they are very unstable. While we were there we noticed the amount of litter that was left at pegs and stuffed in bushes. A lot of the fish that were caught were in poor condition due to hooks being pulled out instead of being removed properly. This is probably due to the matchmen. My mates and myself think that the whole place needs a good overhaul
We had a great time there kids loved fishing, they was very helpful and accommodating as we never booked this site originally it was 1 of there other parks and that 1 was to far to travel from daily to see family.
Good Location with a short walk into Retford. Toilets and Showers kept clean, although a shelf in the shower would be useful. In busy times definitely not enough facilities. We were on a grass pitch, caravans too close together, the ground was awful, although very hot weather there wasn't much grass, just glad it didn't rain, as think it would be very muddy!Great for fishing.
I do highly recommend camping side and brilliant service on site absolutely fabulous 🤩🤩🤩
I am disabled i book and pay for a spot near the toilet and pondOn this occasion our spot was stolenThey were very un kind and wouldn't move they said they were in a group and was going no whereI feel all that was of concern to them were there group Usually owners are ery helpful and friendly but there's people were only bothered about their group they were very inconsiderate I struggled to get to the toilet the shower and the fishing pond I hope they don't go anymore Iv been going for 12 years and never meat any people so unkind I hope they never go again
This is our 6th r 7th visit to Hallcroft. The pitches are huge and the site is clean and well kept
Nice grounds and location but the shower block needs upgrading. The floors quickly get dirty and some of the lights were out of order. The water stops flowing if anyone is using the pot washing taps as well. My other concern is that there appear to be no regard to the distances between pitches as there were tents pitched right next to motorhomes with literally inches between them. Most other sites insist on 6m between pitches.Other than that, it is a nice setting and good value.
We had a fab weekend with family and friends lovely chilled place
