It was very nice and peaceful, me and my some had a good time. The lake was lovely but it was a shame we couldn’t go on it, we like to paddleboard and would’ve been nice to spend an hour or so on the lake other than that very friendly and clean would definitely go back again
Friendly welcome, good size pitch overlooking the lake. Showers etc are adequate and the site was quiet at night. We didnt try the onsite cafe, but the pub in the village, half a mile away, does good beer and OK food. Overall a pleasant site and good value for money.
We had a wonderful stay at Gosfield Lake Resort and would highly recommend it. The location is beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing in nature. The resort is well maintained, clean, and offers excellent facilities for a comfortable stay.
We had a great weekend at Gosfield Lake. Lovely quiet campsite with views through the trees to the lake. We waterskied and did the towed inflatables which were great fun. Toilets are a long walk but that was made clear on their website. Facilities a bit basic but are clean. We are booking to go again in a few weeks.
This has the potential of being a great site just needs some TLC. Shame the restaurant next to the site is closing did great food. Site just needing a lick of paint toilets were clean but some showers had mold on the ceilings for the size of campsite I didn’t feel there was enough to want me to stay there longer than a night
Excellent location, attractive lake, well kept lawns, near an interesting church, parkland, community shop and good pub. The lady in the office kind and helpful. With goodwill and investment, it could be so much better. The stony track to the camping area has deep potholes and appears not to have been maintained for a long time. The wash block is a long walk from the camping area. In a good state but the number of showers, toilets and basins very few and would be unacceptable if the site were anywhere near full. Two basins, only one with a mirror, to serve the shaving needs of up to 50 males! There was no contact information for latecomers or those arriving on spec, as we were. There was no helpful leaflet detailing the history of the estate, giving the locations of local facilities, suggesting local walks, explaining any necessary restrictions etc. but many restrictive notices against parking, swimming, straying on a private patch. Internet access charged and £2.50 to charge a phone!!
Clean, peaceful and respectful campers. Friendly staff at the snack shack and very friendly members of the ski club too. The campsite was spotless and the shower and toilet blocks very well maintained. Camp plots situated perfectly so you’re not on top of other people. Highly recommend!
Great place to stay, near to the local pub, park and handy shop. Excellent onsite facilities and friendly owner at reception. The one quibble I would have and be aware of - on the Saturday evening (30th May), loud music was played until 1:30am. This appeared to be coming from the static caravans right next to the electric hookup campsite, where we were staying, and needless to say severely impacted sleep. I don’t know if those caravans are subject to the “no late noise rules”, but tents aren’t soundproof so be aware that it could happen with seemingly not much you can do.
A lovely welcome, clean and tranquil site with playground for the children and the village playground a short walk away.We didn't explore the local area much as the site was nice enough and some of our party went open water swimming in the lake.Showers and loos were great, staff were helpful. The only downside was some loud static caravan guests on the Saturday night, which was a shame.
