The bothy was a warm, dry and well equipped base for my walking trips. Ideal for what I wanted to do. The fact that my dog could stay was a bonus. Annie was a friendly owner. The toilet facilities were good but could become crowded at busy times. The lack of a shop nearby could prove a problem for visitors without transport.A comfortable place to stay! Good value as well.
This was our second visit to Glendaruel Caravan Park and we had a lovely time. It's great to be able to bring our dog with us and go on long and beautiful walks around the area. Annie couldn't have been more helpful, and the Park is so well looked after. We had a lovely visit to Tighnabruaich but we were mainly happy just to relax in the caravan or walk the dog around the stunning countryside.
Annie was wonderful and the site amenities were clean. We loved the out-of-the-way location and the beautiful surroundings. We have more to see on the Cowal peninsula so we’ll be back on a future trip!
Glendaruel camp site is in a beautiful location. The site is peaceful and clean with good facilities.
Great site, very friendly and helpful folks. Will definitely be back!
I love everything about this campsite and the owner Annie couldn’t help you more. She goes that extra mile.
A wonderful 3 night stay. Very friendly welcome. Clean facilities and great kitchen if you needed it. In the middle of nowhere but a good base for cycling and short walks. A map of the routes for walks would be good. Will definitely stay again when we want to chill and be away from it all.
We rented one of the log cabins which fitted in well with our needs. Small but cosy accommodation with basic facilities but with all that was needed for a short stay. Particularly liked the stunning scenery from our window and the great dog walks starting from our door. The hostess was informative , helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay.
Not been to the Cowal peninsular before despite holidays in Scotland for the last fifty odd years.Always tend to pick small sites (five units) but Glendural is one of the few touring sites in the area. Was a bit apprehensive as I was aware that there were quite a few statics on the site. When I visited in late September most were unoccupied so the site was very quiet.Did not use the facilities apart from hand washing but noticed they were exceptionally clean. Drive over Grey waste dump for motorhomes plus Gas cylinders sold on site.Plenty of area's for walking the dog. The place is bordered by nice patches of woodland.Staff very friendlyVisited some lovely places on the peninsula including Puck's Glen, Ardentinny and Otter ferry.Visited Kilbride bay on last day. Great coffee and food at the bothy by Kilbride farm then we'll worth the walk to the beach which is fabulous.
Quite site, friendly staff, no pub or restaurants close by
